Seeking a Master Principal Cloud Solutions Engineer with a passion for cloud concepts, system integration, and cloud migrations that can support customer facing engagements along with a number of internal Oracle sales efforts. This role seeks a candidate looking for a dynamic technical environment with unlimited growth. Those who excel in this role are motivated self-starters who love to solve challenging problems, feel comfortable working directly with customers and have an insatiable curiosity about what “is possible” with cloud technology. The primary focus of a Cloud Solutions Engineer is to be an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers, and internally to our sales force.

  • The Master Principal Cloud Solutions Engineer is an acknowledged authority within the Corporation.

  • Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner.

  • 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience.

  • 5 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools.

  • Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design.

  • In depth knowledge of competitors.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques.

  • Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication.

  • Must have experience creating and presenting to clents.

Desired skill sets:

  • Knowledge of and experience with any of public cloud providers including Oracle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure or Google (GCP) architecture, tools and cloud methodologies

  • Solution Architect and/or Developer Certification on Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure or Google Cloud

  • Experience in any of the following: IaaS, PaaS, DevOps, data analysis, or microservices

  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, KVM. Familiarity with AWS, Azure

  • BS degree or equivalent.

  • Cloud Certifications are highly desirable.

  • Minimum 5 years relevant computer applications, cyber security, or database/tools or data analysis experience.

  • Oracle product experience highly desirable.

  • Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in multi-user operating system through knowledge of system and application design.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

As a Master Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Understanding, identifying, and documenting client requirements, conduct business and technical studies, design, develop, integrate and implement information systems business solutions, and provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security and service delivery.

  • Providing pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Developing and delivering high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations.

  • Presenting and articulating advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions.

  • Designing, validating, and presenting Oracle cloud, software and hardware solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.

  • Supporting sales team in online and in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision.

Hiring Range: from $49.66 to $95.91 per hour; from $103,300 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
