Historically, the travel requirement for this position has ranged from 80-100%. For now, all KPMG business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only. At some point in the future and with the safety of people as the critical factor, the travel requirement will likely increase, possibly to previous levels, but KPMG is committed to balancing client requirements with new delivery capabilities.

KPMG is currently seeking a Manager in M&A Services for our KPMG Strategy (https://advisory.kpmg.us/) practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagements/projects /improvement initiatives in Working Capital, Order to cash (sales/accounts receivable), Procure to Pay (sourcing/procurement), and/or Supply chain/ Inventory management focused on performance improvement through optimized processes, policies, organization, systems/tool and/or metrics

  • Act as the project manager to help ensure successful problem formulation, hypotheses generation, comprehensive analysis in testing hypotheses, and problem resolution; support initiatives from start to finish, including managing teams, generating information or data requests, leading client and target discussions, creating and coordinating deliverables, and assisting with presentation of outputs

  • Provide oversight of highly skilled KPMG work teams throughout the project lifecycle and serve as the primary team interface with various levels of executives and team members

  • Lead the team to create value-add insights that tie to the client's strategic and financial ambitions, including identifying the underlying value proposition and challenging the client's near and long term working capital and cash flow management objectives through structured data analyses to identify operational risks, efficiencies, or other opportunities

  • Help lead proposal development and other new business development activities by leveraging new and existing relationships with C-level executives across corporate and private equity clients

  • Support professional development of KPMG Strategy team staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Analytics and 5 years of related work experience

  • Master's degree Business, Accounting, Finance, or Analytics preferred; specifically MBA is strongly preferred

  • Track record of delivering performance improvement projects across Procure to pay, Quote to Cash, Supply Chain/Inventory Management and/or Cash flow forecasting (Direct and Indirect) that delivered tangible results (process improvements, cash flow improvement, reduction in cost etc.).

  • Proven ability to perform data driven analyses including problem statement, data discovery, statistical analysis and results to tell the story

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; comfortable explaining data driven and process interview insights topics to business users

  • Ability to travel at a significant level 80%
