As the program manager of the IP Protection Program, you’ll be responsible for championing content protection initiatives, prioritizing resources, and leveraging your business relationships to get things done.

Program Manager Role Description

We are seeking a program manager to serve as the key point of contact for the IP Protection program, working with various levels of management across departments to identify, analyze, and endorse key content protection initiatives. The goal of the IP Protection program is ensuring that authors and creators are rewarded for their contributions by minimizing the illegal distribution of Pearson content.

In this role, you will work closely with existing IP Protection team members in the Operations and Legal departments to coordinate efforts aimed at preventing, detecting, and enforcing the theft of Pearson’s Intellectual Property. Your input will be essential to guiding the program’s growth and resource priorities across initiatives, including budget oversight and talent development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop risk management frameworks for assessing Pearson’s Intellectual Property risks

  • Author and oversee the development of business case documentation and analysis in support of program initiatives

  • Engage with various stakeholders at multiple levels and in multiple departments to acquire support and resources for content protection projects

  • Context switch between projects of various size, scope, and complexity

  • Communicate program updates both regularly and as needed

  • Facilitate productive project meetings

  • Collaboratively work to compromise and solve problems in order to obtain the best outcome for Pearson

  • Form strong relationships between teams

Qualifications

  • BA or equivalent requisite experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in advanced data analysis

  • Ability to work directly with engineering teams and business stakeholders

  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills via the collection and analysis of available, relevant, and reliable information

  • Exhibits strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives

  • Behaves ethically and with integrity, supports Pearson’s core values and beliefs.
