Alexion Pharmaceuticals Manager, Global Drug Safety Patient Support Programs and Market Research in Boston, Massachusetts

Position Summary

The manager, Global Drug Safety Patient Support Programs ensures Market Research Programs and Patient Support Programs maintain pharmacovigilance compliance to global regulations, guidelines, Alexion’s SOPs and training requirements. The position will liaise with groups both internal and external to Global Drug Safety. The Manager, Global Drug Safety Patient Support Programs and Market Research reports to the Director, Global Drug Safety Intake, Policy & Vendor/Alliance Management.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports affiliates with pharmacovigilance language in Patient Support Programs and Market Research Programs

  • Provides subject matter expertise concerning interpretation and implementation of regulatory guidelines and company SOPs related to Patient Support Programs and Market Research Programs

  • Escalates concerns arising from Patient Support Programs and Market Research Programs in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Collaborates with Drug Safety Systems and Data Extraction team and provide configuration and regulatory requirements oversight for Patient Support Programs and Market Research Programs configurations are accurate within the safety system

  • Ensures the tracking of all Patient Support Programs and Market Research Programs for pharmacovigialcne purposes

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in science, health policy, helath sciences or business field. Master’s Degree in appropriate discipline or MBA is preferred.

  • Minimum of 2-5 years in pharmacovigilance

  • Ability to influence various functions within and outside of Global Drug Safety and implement needed process changes

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of global aspects of pharmacovigilance
