Wayfair Manager Curated Merchandising - Joss and Main in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Joss and Main is seeking a Manager, Curated Merchandising Furniture, a key member of the Curated&nbsp; Merchandising team who is responsible for leading product selection, curation and merchandising program definition for all curated customer touchpoints. At present, this includes retail, our print programs (seasonal catalogs, annual sourcebooks, promotional circulars), diverse video efforts (broadcast and online video commercials, show integrations, streaming commerce content), premier onsite placements (homepage, syndicated ‘events’), select email efforts and more.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In this role, you will partner closely with the Head of Curated Merchandising and Global Merchandising teams to conceptualize and develop our merchandising strategy for specific and unique touchpoints. You will curate and build assortments, working from a ‘master’ planogram for the business. These assortments steer exposure towards products and suppliers that are strategic for the business, while also communicating compelling product, brand and value stories that inspire, engage and motivate our customers.&nbsp; Particular to retail, you will partner closely with the retail team on in store VM guidance, product presentation (branding + collateral in store) and product knowledge. You will collaborate with peers in the Operations and Pricing teams to ensure that the product is priced competitively and arrives in time for floorsets. You will develop a deep understanding of our customers, the market, and our business, and pair this with the strategic thinking, creativity, leadership and bias to action that will drive success in this highly entrepreneurial environment.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This role is based in Boston and reports to the Head of Curated Merchandising, Joss and Main, with significant cross-functional responsibility and involvement in retail.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><strong>What you’ll do:&nbsp;</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead Furniture product selection and execution for various formats of retail stores (Flagship, pop-up, A/B/C). This will include:&nbsp;</span></li>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">determining optimal category and G/B/B distortion taking into account retail data and ensuring retail complements the overall merchandising strategy</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">highlighting retail specific needs and sourcing them within our supplier base</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">working with inventory planning and sales planning teams to determine store level plans that refresh by season and take into account promotionality</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">working with global merchandising and operations teams to ensure item selection is from key supplier targets and will meet store deadlines</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">partnering with VM to ensure store reflects seasonal direction and highlights product attributes via in store merchandising, signage and storytelling</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">&nbsp;Conduct product trainings and feedback sessions with store teams</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Analyze performance of retail floorsets - using sales data and insights from store teams - and share learnings with broader team to improve retail and ecomm assortments.&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead Furniture product selection, overall merchandising strategy for our print program (seasonal catalogs, annual sourcebook, promotional circulars)</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Serve as a conduit between merchant and marketing teams, ensuring that strategic products are featured in marketing, that support business initiatives, supplier relationships and the story of the season.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Develop expertise on retail, print catalog and other marketing formats, including the customer journey, key competitors and market trends.</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Merchandising experience required, with preferred experience in Home or adjacent categories</span></li>
