We are seeking visionary individuals with a passion for building the future and that possess a blend of general business and technology strategy skills. In this role, the consultant is responsible for selling and developing solutions for Cloud enabled complex Merger, Acquisition, and Divestiture engagements.

Responsibilities of this role include the following:

  • Hunting within the IBM internal ecosystem of accounts and account owners to develop and close sales opportunities related to M&A transactions:

  • Cloud Migration Factory implementation

  • IT Modernization and Rationalization

  • IT Operating Model change

  • Leading in envisioning future client industry trends and strategic cloud technology solutions

  • Leading client opportunity and qualification calls

  • Understanding and advising client on strategic needs and objectives

  • Articulating and formulating cloud-based solutions for proposals and statements of work that align to the client strategic needs

  • Working with the client and geography based teams through deal progression and signing

  • Assisting in defining and supporting the M&A, Cloud Innovation, and Migration Factory portfolio of offerings

  • Defining scope for client engagements and developing the basis for estimates

  • Actively engaging to bring insights to drive quality on engagements

  • Building relationships with business leaders internally as well as externally

  • Supporting external eminence of team through conferences and seminars

Seeking Experience with:

  • At least 7 years of experience leading solutions in Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures

  • At least 10 years of experience leading solutions in one or more of the following service areas: Cloud Strategy: Cloud Enablement; Cloud Operating Model Development; Complex Change Management; Complex Program Management

  • At least 10 years of experience in a minimum of 2 major industry segments

  • Fluent in English and one other language

This position requires significant global travel.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 9 years of experience leading one or more of the following areas of an M&A driven IT transformation or Cloud enablement journey: strategy alignment, solution design (architecture, operating model), transformation oversight and management, implementation, organization change management.

  • At least 10 years of experience in consultative-based selling of technology or business strategy projects

  • A minimum of 3 of the following:

  • At least 7 years of experience in designing and delivering IT integration/separation or Cloud projects

  • At least 10 years of experience developing project plans and budgets for successful technology projects

  • At least 7 years of experience in application/data discovery and migration/rationalization

  • At least 10 years of experience in IT system architecting with applications, infrastructure, data

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least 15 years of experience leading one or more of the following areas of an M&A driven IT transformation or Cloud enablement journey: strategy alignment, solution design (architecture, operating model), transformation oversight and management, implementation, organization change management.

  • At least 15 years of experience in consultative-based selling of technology or business strategy projects to senior levels

  • A minimum of 3 of the following:

  • At least 10 years of experience in designing and delivering IT integration/separation or Cloud projects

  • At least 12 years of experience developing project plans and budgets for successful technology projects

  • At least 10 years of experience in application/data discovery and migration/rationalization

  • At least 10 years of experience in IT system architecting with applications, infrastructure, data

  • At least 12 years of experience in business strategy and IT alignment
