The GPS Resource Manager is a non-billable resource in Global Professional Services (GPS) and is responsible for providing leadership and expertise to a team of associates who provide consulting, training and technical services support in relation to use and deployment of IDBS’s cloud-based software.

Core Responsibilities

  • Recruit and lead a highly motivated and effective team focused on retaining and developing talent and developing succession strategies

  • Lead, coordinate and facilitate cross functional teams with direct and dotted line reporting to achieve goals in support of the company’s goals and annual operating plan.

  • Engage with customers, understand what they want to do, and communicate how to meet those requirements in IDBS products

  • Accurately and efficiently monitor task time in the IDBS time management software on a weekly basis

  • Provide accurate project estimates for creation of SOW, RFP, and RFI documents for GPS projects

  • Work with Regional Managers to implement standard work that leads to increased services revenue, margin growth, and customer advocacy as part of a global customer success team

  • Provide application testing for new and existing product features

  • Understand and guide team in following the IDBS Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Agile working methodologies in all project delivery activities

  • Establish business cases on behalf of customer enhancements requests , and perform business analysis consulting and challenge customer requirements, when necessary

  • Work with IDBS partners to achieve project delivery success and results

  • Proactively provide product feedback and technical/domain experience to development

  • Provide business consulting and marketing support

  • Maintain commercial awareness of IDBS’s customers and competitors

  • Attend conferences, events and trade shows to maintain understanding and relevance and also as required to support sales and marketing efforts

    Requirements

  • Bachelors level qualification, or equivalent experience, in a life sciences, engineering, computer science, or similar scientific and/or technical field

  • Prefer 5 years of related experience

  • Prefer 2-3 years of management experience in a leadership role

  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA

  • Demonstrate sophisticated software skills/aptitude with advanced Microsoft Office experience

  • Experience implementing data management solutions

  • Experience with programming tools and Oracle (administration and coding) would be an advantage

  • Domestic travel as needed (Up to 15%)
