Our Scientific Informatics practice is where scientific innovation meets leading-edge technology. We leverage digital technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, analytics, and cloud, in combination with a fundamental redesign of the scientific user experience to help our clients better capture, manage, integrate, and analyze complex scientific data. We help improve the discovery and manufacturing of new products, improve quality, ensure compliance, reduce time to market and improve operational efficiency. 

As a team member of ASIS, you will be exposed to the cutting-edge technologies and processes that many leading companies and government agencies utilize.

What would you do?

Most of the team works on one project at any given point in time, typically as part of a larger core team working on a priority. At a Senior Analyst level, it could be:

  • Apply management consulting and design-thinking techniques as you work on the fundamental redesign of the scientific user experience

  • Help shape client’s transformation vision, focus areas, and journey from the current state to a “to-be” enterprise environment

  • Redesign processes and operating models to enable new ways of working with data-driven business cases

  • Leverage laboratory and scientific informatics solutions to deliver on transformational goals.

  • Collaborate with client leaders to ensure buy-in to recommended solutions.

  • Design and implement digital solutions such as Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN), Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), Scientific Data Management Systems (SDMS), artificial intelligence including GenAI, Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud.

  • Help clients better capture, handle, integrate and analyze complex scientific data

Travel - candidates must be willing to travel up to 50% to client locations

Who do we need - Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ Years of experience working in the field of scientific and laboratory informatics, within R&D and/or QC Manufacturing spaces

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Laboratory Science / Life Science (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology) or Computer Science or Engineering (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering) or other relevant field

Bonus points if you have:

  • An advanced degree in a relevant field, as mentioned above

  • Knowledge of coding concepts or IT capabilities relevant to the industry

  • Have genuine interest and desire to learn about emerging technologies (e.g., Generative AI) and their ability to reinvent the way our clients work 

  • Have a passion for problem-solving and possess strong business and financial acumen 

  • Can apply industry and/or functional knowledge in a consulting context to help clients with valuable insights and solutions  

  • Feel comfortable leading workshops, asking others for input and telling stories in a presentation style 

  • Skilled in data analytics and capable of abstracting insights to hypothesize on big picture themes  

  • Have a professional proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel)  

  • Have comfort working with visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx)  

  • Think critically and have taken classes in statistics or data analytics

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
