Overview:

The main function of a lab technologist is to perform complex laboratory tests.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze laboratory findings to check the accuracy of the results.

• Follows prescribed procedures, performing any tests within any of the laboratory specialties and calculating results of the tests performed if necessary.? Recognize and correct basic analyzer malfunctions; notify management personnel when appropriate.

• Prepare reagents or media from a prescribed procedure.

• Conduct established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products.

• Enter data from analysis of tests and results into computer for storage

Education/Experience:

• BS/BA in Biology, Chemistry or a related discipline

• 0-2 years lab experience

• Strong computer skills
