Purpose:
Responsible for growing the revenue and usage of Pearson’s industry leading English Language Learning products and platforms, throughout the Northern California region. You are a highly motivated and analytically minded individual with strong customer facing skills. You go above and beyond in servicing your customer base and understanding their challenges. You apply your knowledge of Pearson’s portfolio to inform customers of the continuous improvements in our products and how to best leverage them to engage and inspire. You are comfortable with growth targets and enthusiastic about our products. You know the potential for better learning outcomes when digital tools are used to activate learning. You’re a self-motivated individual, competitive and willing to push past comfort zones. In this role, your ability to make long and lasting connections with Pearson customers will be invaluable to creating a partner experience driven by their desired outcomes. You will also be the connection with our existing customers to drive renewal and retention and to align their needs to the best possible solution. In this role, you will be responsible for creating strategic plans, focusing on winning new business, owning the end-to-end sales process, and leveraging internal teams to ensure customers are set up for long term success with English language learning and digital solutions. Key Accountabilities:
Demonstrate a strong commitment to a positive, collaborative, and team based selling culture by working with direct and indirect colleagues to achieve goals
Work in a fast-past environment with the ability to problem solve and project manage
Employ effective communication techniques including pre-call planning and productive questioning strategies that focus on learning outcomes that lead to winning business with a Pearson learning solution
Sell, present, and negotiate, Pearson digital offerings in person and/or through virtual video meetings
Demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills
Maintain product knowledge around Pearson digital offerings, the educational industry, and factors influencing the market environment to provide advantageous insights for customers
Exhibit strong knowledge and ability to work within Pearson's customer relationship management system, SalesForce/CRM
Possess strong analytical skills
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

Education, Qualifications & Training

Bachelor's / 4 Year Degree or equivalent experience
Willingness to travel
Valid driver’s license
Resides in California, preferably in Northern California
Previous sales experience (an asset)
TESL Certificate (or equivalent) (an asset)
Language teaching experience (an asset)
Spanish language proficiency (an asset)
