The ISV organization is comprised of highly diverse, intelligent, accountable and collaborative alliances professionals committed to our vision of recruiting, building, and enabling partners to “build great businesses” on the Salesforce platform.

The Next Gen team supports Independent Software Vendor (ISV) partners in the evaluation, adoption, and go-to-market motions related to Salesforce emerging technologies, and works closely with our internal business partners to execute programs aligned with these efforts.

The ISV Technology Strategy Specialist provides an expert point of view to assist with the strategy and vision to expand the consumption of Marketing Cloud in ISV solutions, and acts as a trusted advisor to our partners as they help partners extend the Marketing Cloud platform to better meet the needs of customers. The ISV Technology Strategy Specialist coordinates the activity of other technical resources (ISV Technical Evangelists, Post-sales Technical Architects, Sales Engineers, etc), providing continuity and trusted advice in both pre and post-sale engagement to accelerate deal cycles and ISV solution build out. The ISV Technology Strategy Specialist will be the go-to Marketing Cloud expert for Salesforce ISVs globally.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage industry and technical expertise to credibly advise partners in making strategic architectural decisions

  • Evangelize the flagship Marketing Cloud product; ideation with new and existing partners on integration points between their software the Marketing Cloud

  • Coordinate with Solution Engineers (SE) and Technical Evangelists (TE) to build art of the possible Proof of Concepts, demos, assets

  • Act in partnership with the account, technical, industry, and product overlay teams to solve our customers' and partners' unique and compelling business challenges and advise them in addressing the technical roadblocks

  • Embed themselves in the partners technology roadmap and products to understand where there is opportunity to deepen their footprint with Salesforce

  • Coordinate with all supporting resources who touch these accounts as the technical lead and offer light training on need-basis on partners technology and direction

  • Provide product overview demonstrations and presentations at internal and external meetings and events

Required Skills/Experience

  • Experience with developing solutions on key Salesforce Marketing Cloud technologies including Journey Builder, Content Builder, Contact Builder & Email Studio

  • Knowledge of integration patterns, anti-patterns & best practices using Salesforce Marketing Cloud APIs

  • Currently certified in or obtain these certifications within 3 months of hire

  • Marketing Cloud Email Specialist

  • Marketing Cloud Developer

  • Experience in analyzing business requirements and designing solutions

  • Ability to see the big picture and explain complex topics to a wide range of audiences with empathy, clarity, and brevity

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently; someone who does not shy away from rolling up the sleeves to get the job done

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and time management skills

  • Ability to effectively design and deliver content related to Marketing Cloud, and participate in the planning and facilitation of Marketing Cloud enablement events for ISVs

  • Strong presentation skills; able to effectively present and defend point of view to a variety of audiences

Also, would be great if you have

  • 4+ yrs experience in an Enterprise Software Development, Technical Architect, Solution Engineer or Consultant in a customer-facing role

  • Experience working as Technical Evangelist, for/with Product Development Outsourcers (PDOs) or building Marketing Cloud AppExchange Apps is a plus

  • Marketing Cloud Consultant certification
