General Electric Investor Relations Manager in Boston, Massachusetts
Job Description Summary
As a member of the GE Investor Relations team, you will serve as a vital bridge between equity markets and GE. The purpose of this role includes driving key operational processes for the Investor Relations team; developing, packaging and communicating fact-based, analytical content to support investors and GE leadership; and completing standard work and retail investor communications.
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for IR team standard work, including:
Own Weekly Consensus calculation and analysis, tracking estimates for revenue, profit, EPS, and adjusted FCF. Collaborating with FP&A to understand key drivers between the GE internal estimate and analyst models to deliver insights to the senior leadership team on GE performance versus market expectations
Responsible for retail investor communication, including responses to retail investor questions, maintaining retail Q&A file, and responses to IR newsletter feedback from investors
Create executive summaries for senior leadership team of equity analyst notes
Support investor meetings and sell-side conferences through preparing investor profiles, logging activity in IPERO
Maintain external guidance tracker for GE CFO
Manage PO payments process for IR team
Support Month Long Earnings Process, including:
Cover peer & competitor’s earnings daily, summarizing key themes, considerations/impacts to GE, and summarizing for senior leadership team (e.g. weekend care packages for Larry/Carolina/Steve)
Track consensus vs. internal estimate and present “final” quarterly consensus to VP of FP&A and VP of IR
Document owner for “Friends & Family” letter, sent to 200+ GE investors, including owning drafting and revision process, partnering VP of IR, Controllership, FP&A, & Communications
Review and Redline official earnings/Outlook transcript; edit/validate numbers, grammar, spelling etc.
Create CFO/CEO packages for the business segments (Slides, HIRIs, PR, & Script) to facilitate business CFO/CEO review of earnings materials
Join IR Director’s post-earnings sell-side calls, recording notes (themes & questions), and consolidating into key themes for VP of IR and Board of Director use
Update quarterly investor “13F” and “targeting” analysis, reviewing shareholder themes and key shareholder targets to develop recommendations and action items for the IR team
Support ongoing HIRI documentation and appendix prep
Quarterly roll forward of HIRI document in W-desk, maintaining document and continuously improving with additional automation
Transition current HIRI consolidation & collaboration process to Wdesk, including partnering with business teams to deploy across all GE businesses and partnering with earnings working team
Peer & Competitor analysis – establishing standard work around competitor read-across and LEGOs
Support the team in ad hoc analysis throughout the rotation (e.g. Tusa standard work, “We are GE” deck, peer/competitor benchmarking)
For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Finance.
Leadership Program graduates will be given experience credit for time within the program.
