Your Impact:

Our People & Places Solutions team is seeking a dual role Interior Designer + Sustainability Coordinator to provide technical and strategic sustainable design solutions.

As an Interior Designer in our Boston Interiors Group, you’ll work closely with a team of talented award-winning designers, to design cutting edge state of the art facilities such as, Science and Research; Lab/Office Interiors and Corporate Interiors in the Boston area. You will use your 2D and 3D conceptual skills to communicate design ideas and direction, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration while conforming to budgets and schedules.

As a Sustainability Coordinator, you will participate in the administration of certifications including LEED, WELL and Fitwel in all phases of design and construction administration. Assist in setting assignment objectives and work is reviewed for adequacy and accuracy. Participate in the sustainable preliminary goal setting for projects and work with Interior Designers, Architects and Engineers to understand design intent and goals for successful implementation for various design projects.

This dual role is anticipated to flow between projects, combining experience from both areas of expertise as appropriate on a per project basis. We will look to you to promote the firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution and sustainability while contributing to office activities, initiatives and learning programs.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture

  • A minimum of 2 years’ professional relevant experience.

  • Working Knowledge of current furniture, materials and building finish products

  • Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketchup

  • 2D/3D conceptual skills with the ability to communicate design ideas.

  • LEED AP with Specialty; or LEED GA credential

  • Strong organizational skills to help facilitate multiple projects and/or tasks at one time, communication (both verbal and written) skills, creative problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to effectively coordinate with architectural and engineering project team members, both internal and external

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

  • Involvement in Boston professional organizations

  • WELL and FITWEL certification.
