Are you passionate and a SME within the Telco & Media Industry? Do you love evangelizing and selling groundbreaking technology and want to help take businesses to the next level? In this role you will act as a trusted domain expert through the execution of sales plays and workshops for customers and prospects, and you will work collaboratively with Splunk’s field sales teams. In addition, you will help build technical assets for the field, which will be used as the basis to drive campaigns and opportunities, specifically demos, use cases, and extensions to Splunk Essentials.
About the Team
This role is part of the Global Field Specialization team responsible for helping the field create, grow and speed sales opportunities to close while enabling the entire Splunk eco-system with its domain expertise to increase skills. The position reports to the AVP Telco, Media and Healthcare.
You will establish credibility with the field organization as a technical expert in Telco Media, providing incremental value to the selling motion and customer interactions. In addition, you will:
Work our Partner organization, including key SI’s in support of our indirect selling and enablement efforts
Develop demos, customer stories, and solutions specific to Telco & Media building a set of supporting technical tools for the sales and marketing teams.
Deliver specific demonstration guides and other materials tied to sales plays and opportunities, to create, grow, and accelerate pipeline opportunities.
Evangelize the Splunk Telco Media solutions internally with our field organization and externally with partners up-leveling everyone’s knowledge of the Communications industry and Splunk’s capabilities.
Execute workshops and other meaningful engagements publicly at SplunkLive and .conf or similar venues.
Drive the Telco Media specific solutions pipeline and adoption with existing customers and prospects.
Assist the field in building, growing, speeding, and winning Telco Media business.
Work closely with supporting teams as a field guide to improve messaging, field needs and enablement, competitive positioning, packaging and pricing.
8 + plus years of high tech field experience in CSM, sales engineering, professional services, or consulting and evangelizing a complex software to with Telco Media (Fortune 1000 to 50 businesses)
7+ years in system solution sales within large Enterprise accounts.
Strong communicator with ability to lead a virtual, extended Telco technical team globally
Excellent understanding of the Communications & Media ecosystem, and industry issues.
Experience in successfully executing complex sales cycles and or projects in Telco industry
High ethics, integrity, and humility and be able to work with other teams.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, ideally in an engineering or Computing related subject.
Deep industry knowledge spanning traditional IT and application development disciplines.
Familiar with product roadmap planning to incorporate customer requirements into Splunk service offerings.
Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams tasked with full life-cycle support.
Ability to build and maintain high credibility with sales teams, strategic customers and partners.
