Your Role and Responsibilities

The IBM Z and LinuxONE Offering Management organization is seeking a Offering Manager with a specific focus in security who will lead a strategic offering on IBM Z and LinuxONE. The candidate will be responsible for owning one or more strategic focus areas, taking them from concept to GA and working through the offering management process along the way. The candidate will collaborate with design, development, operations staff and fellow OM’s to bring these initiatives to market. The Offering Manager is responsible for owning all business aspects of these initiatives as well as insuring that all technical requirements have been met by the appropriate teams prior to product launch.
Ensuring successful execution of the entire Offering Management process from Market Exploration through Sense and Respond.
Delivering on offering revenue targets and other success metrics.
Driving collaboration with other IBM business units to ensure strategic alignment and offering execution as well as cross-business unit offering integration.
Partnering with cross-discipline stakeholders to drive offering success, e.g. Sales, Marketing, Client Experience, etc.
Engaging with clients as sponsor users, for ongoing feedback on offerings and validation of strategic direction.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
A minimum of 5 years of experience in offering management
Demonstrated experience in enterprise security
Demonstrated communication skills in a customer facing environment.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in (verb)- leading, writing, researching, guiding, managing, etc.
Offering Management expertise
Foundational knowledge in enterprise security
Experience interacting with clients
Ability to think strategically
Strong presentation and communication skills
Experience presenting to and/or interacting with executives
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Technical experience or strong knowledge base in Z or LinuxONE
Preferred locations: Raleigh/RTP, NC, and Poughkeepsie, NY
