IBM Hybrid Cloud Seller Professional (Southeast) in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

This position is responsible for selling Hybrid Cloud services for Public cloud platforms on AWS & Azure including the following but not limited to; IBM Managed Services, Migration Services, Deployment Services, Networking Services, and Brokerage Services.

Candidates must have previous experience selling Cloud Services and/or must have experience selling AWS or Azure Public Cloud solutions. Pre-sales / Sales certifications from either Amazon, Microsoft, or both are highly preferred.

AWS Certifications: AWS Business Professional, AWS TCO and Cloud Economics, & AWS Solutions Training for Partners: Foundations.

Microsoft Certifications: Candidates being able to show training/certification in AZURE is highly desired.

A technical background is also highly preferred. Ideal candidates should be able to act as a technical subject matter expert on Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure, primarily focusing on infrastructure-as-a-service offerings (GTS Hybrid Cloud Services portfolio) and related operations technologies and best practices. Candidates will be helping customers / prospects understand complex architectures and infrastructure designs, with a focus on automation, migration, deployment, and Brokerage services. Candidates should be able to help customers better understand best practices on the AWS and Azure platforms and how to transition workloads to theses cloud platforms. Furthermore, candidates will work with our customers to ensure strategic business objectives are being met while addressing tactical business issues the client's face in their cloud first efforts.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Demonstrate the ability to understand, provide face to face (f2f) value proposition capabilities, as well as sell and negotiate cloud managed services and Hybrid Cloud related solutions.

  • Demonstrate customer experience in selling, progressing and closing complex, and often transformational solutions.

  • Develop and present technical solutions and configurations for infrastructure as a service with our clients including cloud instances, storage, networking, OS, database and managed services.

  • Engage directly with IT and/or C-level executives to understand their key challenges and demonstrate and price solutions that fit their needs for Public Cloud based solutions.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Engage directly with line of business executives to understand their key challenges and demonstrate and price solutions that fit their needs, building solutions using IBM GTS Hybrid Cloud Services portfolio.
