Humana Humana Pharmacy Account Management in Boston, Massachusetts


The Senior Pharmacy Channel Development Professional will identify, develop, and expand relationships with third party partners and clients to increase Humana's Mail Order Pharmacy market share.


The Senior Channel Development Professional will support department and team strategic sales goals by developing and executing key initiatives to support Mail Order Pharmacy partner and client growth. This business development professional will develop go to market strategies and identify new business opportunities to increase overall sales portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create/increase pipeline of third party partners and clients for the pharmacy

  • Identify key areas of improvement through trend and utilization analysis.

  • Prepare and give effective presentations

  • Negotiate with prospective partners and clients

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders on pipeline

  • Collaborate closely with business leaders, marketing and finance to ensure effective, strategic, and competitive sales plans.

  • Execute on non-Humana Pharmacy growth strategy

  • Work with partner Account Managers to effectively onboard new partners and clients

  • General focus will be Specialty, Medicaid and Humana Associate Specialty Plan

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, PBM or related business

  • 2 to 4 years of experience leading and implementing key initiatives, projects and/or optimization activities

  • Specialty Pharmacy experience

  • Excellent relationship building skills

  • Strong market research and strategic analysis skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to listen for areas of opportunity and gaps to improve service offerings.

  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial trends

  • Experience with digital platforms such as ZOOM, WebEx and Microsoft Teams

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel (and ideally Access)

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialty Pharmacy experience

  • Bachelors preferred

  • Business development experience

  • B2B or B2C experience
