The Opportunity

As the Head of Charging Product Operations, Ford Pro you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of our electric vehicle fleet charging hardware products. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless production, distribution, and maintenance of our hardware offerings, contributing to the growth and success of the business.

What you’ll be able to do:

Supplier Selection and Management

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the procurement of hardware components, working in conjunction with procurement teams.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of hardware product, installation services, deployment partners and O&M support plans.

  • Develop and execute inventory management practices to optimize stock levels, ramp up plans and product obsolescence.

Operations and Quality Management

  • Coordinate with manufacturing partners to ensure efficient and high-quality production.

  • Monitor production schedules and address any issues that may arise, ensuring on-time delivery.

  • Implement and improve quality and production processes to maintain high quality metrics, enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards for hardware products.

  • Manage the product testing and quality assurance team to identify and address any product defects or issues.

  • Continuously strive to enhance product quality and reliability, while optimizing cost and delivery timelines.

  • Manage warranty programs, service SLAs, extended warranty solutions and maintenance solutions

Logistics and Distribution Strategy

  • Develop and execute distribution strategies to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.

  • Coordinate with distribution channels and logistics partners to optimize shipping and distribution processes.

  • Implement tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor product movement, deployment and commissioning.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Develop and implement plans for product maintenance, upgrades, and end-of-life strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, sales, BD, Marketing) to develop product roadmap, new product features and improvements.

  • Monitor and analyze product performance in the field, addressing any issues promptly.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and marketing.

  • Communicate effectively with executive team, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment on operational goals.

  • Provide regular updates on key performance indicators, business metrics and operational achievements.

Functional & TechnicalKnowledge

The minimumrequirements we seek:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field

  • 8+ years’ experience in hardware product operations, preferably in EV charging hardware or a manufacturing segment

Our preferred requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • Strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence.

  • Strong understanding of hardware product operations, supply chain dynamics and logistics.

  • Excellent ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage collaboration across multiple stakeholders internally and externally.

  • Familiarity with quality control processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
