Req ID: 88952 Region: Americas Country: USA State/Province: New Hampshire City: Remote Employee US Detailed Description: The Industrial and Energy Global Program Manager is required to oversee complex product and program realization by coordinating with cross-functional teams from Global Regions (such as Canada, USA, China, Thailand, and Europe). The Global Program Manager ensures that the Design for Manufacturing/Cost (DFx), Joint Design and Manufacturing (JDM), and Value Added Value Engineering (VAVE) Continuous Improvement process projects are implemented to expand product line margin. The GPM ensures that projects are smoothly transitioned to MFG, coordination with site customer focused teams is established to meet contractual margin commitments, and our customers’ expectations are exceeded to improve yield, increase reliability, and deliver cost saving. Specific Responsibilities include: + Develops detailed project plans that include work breakdown structures, schedules, and cost profiles to deliver on the individual customer programs + Tracks and directs activities related to the project plans + Responsible for the management process associated with tracking, directing, prioritizing, and delivering on the projects + Partners with Global Resources, SCM (Supply Chain Management), Operations, Design Engineering, Key Account Managers, Site GMs, CFT resources, and Contracts to plan and execute the top DFx, JDM, and VAVE commitments + Coordinates action plans with the sites to correct out-of-plan conditions + Interfaces with the customer and the Celestica teams in managing specific programs to achieve planned objectives Knowledge/Skills/Competencies: + Ability to manage multiple, detailed projects to a successful end while working under tight time deadlines + Excellent customer contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills + Excellent presentation, database management and computer skills + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers + Fluency in financial costing is required + In-depth knowledge and understanding of the following: + Engineering design and development + Process development and implementation + Test, quality, and production in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment + Materials, Supply Chain, and components used in the manufacturing of electro-mechanical systems, printed circuit boards and subassemblies + Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes. Typical Experience: + Five plus years relevant program management experience + Minimum of 5 years of experience building & leading diverse teams from various internal and external organizations Typical Education: + Bachelor’s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience + Advanced studies in Program Management (such as PMI / PgMP certification) or equivalence through experience.
