Are you an expert in technology within Games Technology (GameTech) and Immersive Experiences with hands on experience in the Development Life Cycle, have technical depth, and business development skills needed to work with partners on technology solutions in the cloud? Customers across the industry are using AWS Cloud game and immersive technologies such analytics and GenAI along with partners like Epic Games (Unreal) to distribute, monetize and to transform their business.

AWS is looking for a world class candidate who understands business trends affecting the industry, to build business with leading technology ISV companies in Game Technology. Your job will be to use these strategic partners to address customer needs and to grow AWS business.

You will be responsible for defining and leading the overall partner strategy and plan, and leading engagement with top technology and consulting companies in the industry. You will collaborate with partners to bring innovative solutions to customers, to help them engage with and nurture their clients, differentiate their offerings, and grow their business.

This is an individual contributor role with global responsibility. You will be working closely with teams across AWS including product management, partner development managers, solution architects, professional services, and our sales teams. You will be the face to the industry of the AWS partner team and solutions, building and maintaining engagement with executives at top partners including engaging with AWS senior leadership, and representing AWS in media coverage and industry events.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished leader with an extensive background in technology in the industry, experienced at building a partner ecosystem with solutions or innovation programs, and with the presence to engage with decision makers at the executive level. You will have strong business development, product management, strategic alliances, and entrepreneurial skills. You can demonstrate an ability to think strategically about new business models, solution selling, and show prior solution and program successes.

Full life cycle development of technology or content from ideation to deliver is required in the Games industry. AWS customers are developing some of the most exciting and innovative new businesses and the AWS Partner Network (APN) ecosystem is helping to dramatically accelerate innovation on the AWS Cloud.

Key job responsibilities

o Lead the partner strategy and execution plan for technology partners in the GameTech Industry and Immersive Experiences with accountability for delivering business results against annual goals.

o Build C-level relationships with top industry partners.

o Collaborate with AWS teams and with partners to bring solutions to market to meet customer needs, with measurable ROI results

o Develop, represent, and drive industry specific partner strategy internally and externally to mature GameTech on AWS.

o Prioritize AWS investment in partners who focus on the industry including leading startups, consulting companies, and established ISV technology vendors

o Work with cross-functional groups in AWS to deliver programs that will scale the partner business

o Prepare and give business reviews to AWS senior leaders

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
