How will you make an impact?

We are seeking a Market Development Manager to join our qPCR instrument team. The successful candidate will be a member of our Genetic Sciences Division qPCR Global Market Development group, responsible for developing and executing key marketing programs for our instrument portfolio. This person will be a member of the team and work on the strategic direction and tactical implementation of activities and deliverables supporting the qPCR instrument portfolio and executing-to-plan.

What will you do?

  • Work as part of a team to develop strategic, multi-channel integrated marketing plans, including customer segmentation, competitor analysis, business trends, market opportunities, and staging and pacing of marketing tactical programs

  • Identify target customer segments and create value propositions and key messages for each segment

  • Develop and execute engaging marketing campaigns to generate awareness and drive demand; achieve measurable results for key initiatives and new and/or existing products

  • Collaborate and ensure alignment of marketing plans among Product Management, Regional Market Development Partners, Commercial Leaders, and other stakeholders

  • Successfully engage internal and external advertising agencies to deliver high-quality assets, including, but not limited to, creative direction and content for print and digital collateral, PR, social media, customer-facing presentations, global tradeshow properties and promotional materials

  • Maintain campaign metrics dashboards to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities

  • Partner with Product Management and Regional Marketing Managers to develop and deliver sales training and support materials

  • Manage marketing budgets and optimize the promotional mix on campaigns to achieve a high return on investment

  • Act as a brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and communicating our multi-brand strategy in all aspects of our marketing programs

  • Interact with varying levels of internal and external personnel including direct customer communication, KOL engagement and management, and public presentation

How will you get here?


  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S./B.A.) required ideally in Marketing or Communications or in a scientific discipline (molecular biology, genetics or biochemistry preferred)


  • 3+ years of proven hands-on experience in marketing roles of increasing scope.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills

  • Broad knowledge of marketing 4Ps, channels-to-market, segmentation, value proposition, marketing plan and campaign development, content marketing, voice of customer research and customer journey maps

  • Self-starter and collaborative within project teams, and successful track record working in complex environments, including managing expectations of multiple stakeholders across business units and regions

  • Written and oral communication skills including presentations to leadership

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Must be able to manage project scope, budget and schedule to achieve timely completion of project deliverables

  • Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to change

  • Ability to travel approximately 15-25% domestic and international
