Validity Global Head of Field Marketing in Boston, Massachusetts
About the Role
Validity is seeking a highly motivated and talented Global Head of Field Marketing to support our next wave of growth as the most trusted name in customer data quality by owning field marketing globally. Reporting to the Senior Director of Demand Generation and working closely with cross-functional leaders, the successful candidate will be an experienced field marketing leader who possesses expertise across multiple global regions and a passion for data-driven and customer-centric international marketing.
The Global Head of Field Marketing will play a hybrid player-coach role in which they both support field marketers in international regions while themselves being the chief individual contributor responsible for owning the US region’s field marketing strategy & execution. He/she will be keenly aware and knowledgeable of what is happening in each of those regions with respect to the business and how to grow among both our Email and Data customer segments.
The ideal candidate will be a revenue-minded, customer-focused field marketing leader with a proven track record of successful SaaS marketing in a global setting. This person is both a problem solver and community builder who is equally comfortable with strategizing around the best events, sponsorships, promotions, and other marketing programs as they are being the boots on the ground executing those strategies to maximize growth within the regions.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Build the end-to-end field marketing strategy (planning, execution, measurement) for Validity that is globally focused on demand generation for both the Email and Data customer segments
Develop, plan and execute US-specific field marketing activities that achieve our nearterm lead and opportunity targets while setting us up for long-term growth in our largest region
Manage a robust budget for global field marketing
Identify the right mix of channels in each region including (but not limited to): events, webinars, direct mail, promotions, etc.
Lead local marketing efforts across our key regions globally including building relationships with the Marketing, Data Management, Operations, and Sales communities there and identifying the local partners, influencers, and vendors that most closely align with our objectives
Support the field team’s localization and translation, ensuring that our tone, voice, and messaging in marketing materials best reflect the countries in which they're used and that we get the most ROI from our translation vendor investments
Coordinate and partner closely with the larger Marketing team on global marketing campaigns, ensuring that each region is involved in the most appropriate ways
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, Marketing Operations and Creative to go after all regions with all the internal expertise and resources at your disposal
Apply an Account-Based Revenue (more widely known as Account Based Marketing) framework to regional marketing programs to maximize logo acquisition of the most important accounts for Validity
Write content briefs to define regional campaign objectives and critical metrics, optimizing campaigns to maximize pipeline return
Required Experience, Skills, and Education
5-9+ years of experience for SaaS companies either in field marketing or event marketing within a global organization
3-5+ years of people management and development experience (with international employees a huge plus)
Experience partnering with local and regional vendors to generate pipeline including relevant organizations, associations, publications, influencers, etc.
Budget planning and management skills with a demonstrated ability to plan across multiple countries and align spend with the regional revenue goals of the company
Can multitask with executing against the immediate needs of the region while also strategizing for new marketing activities and longer-term growth opportunities
Has experience working closely with sales to marry their qualitative feedback with quantitative results in order to discern how to drive the business forward.
A self-starter who can proactively set plans into motion and balance many different irons in the fire, often in different countries
A team player who has a proven record of being a “tide that lifts all boats”
Highly creative with the ability to innovate new ways to generate interest and excitement among targeted audiences.
Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to clearly show plans and results in different countries and the main factors behind them
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education
Experience in a global Account-Based revenue environment a plus
Multilingual a plus
