Your Impact:

When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow. We’re looking for an emerging Scientist, Geologist or Engineer to work on complex site characterization and remediation projects for government and private-sector clients.

Based in Boston, you’ll support the delivery of environmental projects by collecting environmental data in the field and working in office settings, supporting technical analysis and technical report writing activities. We’ll rely on you to maintain strong relationships with internal staff and clients. You’ll be mentored by experienced staff who will help you grow your environmental consulting career at a place like no other. We’re seeking an innovator, ready to utilize the most recent characterization and analysis techniques and creativity in remedial design and regulator strategy.

Most projects will require thoughtful strategy development, leveraging technical expertise with client and stakeholder collaboration. All projects need to be delivered with high safety, compliance, and quality standards expected by both Jacobs and our clients. Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineer, Environmental Science or a related field

  • Professional work experience within environmental consulting and conducting work under minimal supervision including experience with various media (e.g., soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water and sediment) investigations, data assessments and evaluations, and remediation technologies Professional experience writing reports (text, table, and figure generation)

  • Experience conducting site investigations/characterizations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, remedial designs/actions, and optimizing remediation systems

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Master’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, geology or other closely related technical degree

  • Professional Engineer, Geologist or Project Management Professional (P.E., P.G, or PMP) or ability to obtain and maintain

  • Ability to build relationships, motivate others, and provide strong leadership of teams to drive results.

  • Able to work constructively and collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.
