The Fund Reporting Consultant will contribute to the preparation and review of all quarterly, annual and semiannual reports to shareholders. Ensuring adherence with GAAP, regulatory reporting requirements and approved policies in addition to meeting all filing deadlines.

This position with provide guidance and training to fund reporting analysts throughout reporting processes and assisting in the timely resolution of any issues identified. In addition, the successful candidate will work on implementing new accounting standards; contribute to the establishment of new policies or policy changes in response to regulatory changes, new investment types, and new fund types.

The Fund Reporting Consultant will assist in identifying opportunities to improve department efficiency, develop and implement changes in current processes, with appropriate guidance and approvals. Evaluate the impact of process changes. Communicate impacts to affected parties and help prepare work environment for change.

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of investment accounting experience in the mutual fund industry

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment where strong independent thinking skills are important

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of calculation of NAV

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of administering mutual funds; including financial reporting, fund accounting, and operations

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of mutual funds, financial reporting, and regulatory filings
