The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Associate will be responsible for:
Receiving food products and performs Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) check using internal tracking recording methods. Ensures food products and supplies from vendors meet quality, accuracy standards and verifies count of items received. Alerts management of poor quality, temperature issues, substitutions, shortages and overages. Identifies and routes items for delivery to final storage locations.
Maintaining inventory of food products and supplies according to required par levels and established schedules. Ensures all products are stored and rotated according to FIFO (First In, First Out). Monitors expiration dates and disposes of expired items. Places orders for food products and supplies per BCH process and procedure.
Maintaining logs, records and documentation related to various disbursement steps including; receipt, delivery and distribution of materials and maintenance of equipment. Records information according to established procedures.
Maintaining compliance with BCH Environment of Care standards and assures constant state of regulatory readiness for Joint Commission, Fire Department, Board of Health and other regulatory inspections. Ensures work area is neat and orderly and free of fire and safety hazards.
Furthering knowledge and skills through attendance and participation at conferences, seminars and in service programs.
To qualify, you must have:
Serve Safe certification required
High school diploma or GED required
One year of work experience in a warehousing/stock management setting
Experience utilizing forklifts is preferred
Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.
