In financial operations at PwC, you will specialise in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations within organisations. Your work will involve assessing financial processes, identify areas for improvement, and design and implement solutions to streamline financial operations, enhance controls, and reduce costs. You will be responsible for providing guidance on financial systems implementation, process automation, and financial shared services.

Demonstrates a thorough level of abilities and/or a proven record of success in advising global organizations on improving efficiency and effectiveness in finance.

Demonstrates a thorough level of abilities and/or a proven record of success across one or several of the following core finance cycles, including deep understanding of key process roles, dependencies and technologies:

  • Understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) principles and methodologies Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling techniques specific to the insurance industry;

  • Knowledge of insurance products, pricing models, and actuarial concepts;

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making;

  • Experience with variance analysis and identifying trends or patterns in financial data;

  • Familiarity with insurance regulatory requirements and compliance;

  • Understanding of insurance company financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement;

  • Proficiency in financial reporting and management reporting for insurance companies;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and opportunities in financial planning and analysis;

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including accounting, technology, and actuarial departments; and

  • Excellent communication skills to present financial analysis and insights to stakeholders and management.

The salary range for this position is: $84,000 - $202,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
