Wells Fargo Wholesale Banking Technology, part of Wells Fargo Technology,is looking for an Engineering Manager leading in an agile engineering team supporting technology solutions development across multiple product or capability domains for Customer Lifecycle Management Program.

The ideal candidate will partner with business product managers, lead systems architects, and senior engineers to develop product functional and technical strategy for the domain(s), including development of actionable short and longterm product roadmaps and shaping prioritized features. Oversee engineering teams to deliver commitments aligned to strategic product priorities. Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of senior engineers and lower level engineering managers and assists in hiring top engineering talent.

Collaborate within and across agile teams to design, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and methodologies. Ensures the craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers. Support implementation of features spanning multiple teams for multiple product or capability domains. Partners with product managers to drive business outcomes. Ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met. Ensures that key areas of technology risk including security, stability, and scalability are addressed in products and capabilities within the domain(s).Interface with third party vendors and technology service providers. May speak at a conference as a subject matter expert. Lead a team of individual contributor engineers and/or lower level engineering managers.

The Digital Customer Experience Engineering Manager position is accountable for 10+ FTEs, responsibilities include:

  • Lead an agile engineering team supporting technology solutions development across multiple product or capability domains.

  • Partner with business product managers, systems architects, and senior engineers to develop product functional and technical strategy for the Customer Lifecycle Management Program, including development of actionable short and longterm product roadmaps and shaping prioritized features.

  • Oversee engineering team to deliver commitments aligned to strategic product priorities.

  • Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers and assist in hiring top engineering talent.

  • Ensure the craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers.

  • Support implementation of features spanning multiple teams for multiple product within the domain.

  • Ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met.

  • Interface with third party vendors and technology service providers.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technology engineering experience

  • 4+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment

  • 5 + years of experience managing application development teams

  • 5+ years of software engineering and implementation experience

  • 5+ years of Agile experience

  • 5+ years of Spring experience

  • 3+ years of JavaScript development experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development

  • Git or GitHub experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of configuration management tools such as Subversion

  • Knowledge and understanding of monitoring the development of security vulnerabilities, threats, exposures, associated risk, and mitigating solutions

  • Knowledge and understanding of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements

  • UNIX experience

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology

  • Knowledge and understanding of mobile software security vulnerabilities such as the OWASP Top 10 Mobile Risks

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Clean Coding concepts

  • 5+ years of experience with end-to-end design and delivery of customer facing applications

  • 5+ years of technology engineering experience

  • 5+ years of experience with end-to-end design and delivery of customer facing applications

  • 5+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
