  • Take your career to the next level with Ford Motor Company and contribute to the integration of new driveline systems and features into electric vehicle architectures, playing a critical role in shaping the future of the automotive industry.

  • Integrate new driveline systems and driveline features into existing and future electric vehicle architectures.

  • Provide technical driveline system support throughout all phases of the vehicle program to ensure robust program execution and performance

  • Work with program team to understand the required functional and physical properties of a driveline system

  • Ensure linkage to system Boundary/P diagram, Interface matrix, DFMEA, Design verification Plan and manufacturing PFEMA/Control plan

  • Work with Tier 1 supplier, Vehicle Engineering and Vehicle Controls team to ensure system / subsystem interfaces delivery.

  • Independently develop control strategy and diagnostics spec and review with interfacing systems/modules.

  • Coordinate EMC test plan and assess the results with Ford EMC engineer and Tier 1 supplier.

  • Identify, track, and resolve engineering issues

  • Manage commodity controls/SW engineering sign off

  • Support program launches

  • Ability to travel 25 - 30% to tier 1 and tier 2 supplier locations

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • 2+ years of experience in powertrain systems with exposure to SW communication tools and diagnostics

  • 2+ years of experience of vehicle electrification or related Automotive domain

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships with all functions and levels across the organization

Even better, you may have...

  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Prior experience in Automotive industry, working with cross functional team to develop new technology

  • Knowledge of Driveline controls / communication system

  • SW requirement implementation into controllers / vehicles

  • PPAP experience

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification

  • Work with cross-functional teams, collaborate and effectively communicate within your development team

  • Must be able to work with global cross functional team for issue resolution

  • Component test experience with bench and / or dyno

  • Vehicle system level test experience for electro-mechanical modules

  • Ability to multi-task effectively on projects and assignments
