Franchise Business Consultant - Dunkin Donuts

Job Summary

In this position, Franchise Business Consultants are responsible for an assigned portfolio of franchisees, with the responsibility of partnering with each individual franchisee to set and achieve or exceed goals for their networks to drive the business in the areas of sales, profits, and network growth. To accomplish this, key areas of focus will be high-quality customer service, operational excellence, well trained and competent employees, and top-notch facilities.


  1. Lead through an annual Franchisee Business Review with each franchisee in the portfolio, aligning on goals and gaining commitment in all areas that will drive the business, including but not limited to sales, profitability, network growth & development, training practices, and organizational structure. Ensure follow through on commitments through quarterly check-ins with the franchisee to assess progress on operational performance and safety, growth plans and profitability goals.

  2. Leverage data and metrics to assess and drive operational performance for each franchisee, reviewing Food Safety Reviews, Operations Reviews, Training Completions, and Guest Service data - identifying trends and providing recommendations to franchisees that will maximize strengths and improve areas of opportunity.

  3. Drive Franchisee and restaurant growth by identifying expandable franchisees and partnering with Business Development to identify viable opportunities to build new restaurants.

  4. Partner with cross functional team members, including Field Marketing, Learning & Deployment, and Construction & Real Estate – to ensure the market is meeting or exceeding goals in all areas of the business.

  5. Conduct Successor License assessments and assist franchisees in understanding the processes for remodeling and building new restaurants using the Road Map for Brand Revitalization. Work closely with the construction team and the franchisee to ensure all projects stay on schedule. Follow up to ensure that completed facilities meet required operational specifications, and support during all remodel and new store openings.

  6. Based on franchisee’s individual areas of opportunities and goals – connect them with applicable cross functional partners to provide subject matter expertise.

  7. Timely completion of all responsible administrative functions and requirements of the position.

  8. Ensure the effective use of G&A expenses and that totals are to be at or below AOP targets.



High School or GED


4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree

Business or related field


Required Minimum – 5 years in progressive supervisory franchise management or District level multi-units operations


  • Able to effectively build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills; strong ability to influence

  • Excellent organizational skills – able to effectively manage time and plan

  • Skilled at coaching, consultation, problem solving and analysis.

  • Must be able to show a strong sense of self-leadership; can effectively work autonomously and show sound judgement and decision-making capabilities.

  • Able to develop and execute plans to drive results.

  • Highly adaptable to changes in direction; can effectively adapt to different situations and personalities.

  • Five plus years operations management experience with multi-unit leadership experience (operational expertise and credibility)

Travel Required

Must be willing to travel 40-50%
