Team and Role Overview

Do you love analyzing data and taking action on insights? The Director of Programs and Strategy for Workforce Planning will be responsible for leading headcount systems management and workforce planning, global real estate partnerships, overall operational excellence, and driving strategies and programs to help the business succeed. The ideal candidate for this position is knowledgeable about the software development life-cycle and brings robust experience with building and improving systems and processes that ensure the organization is highly successful.

Our Technology, Marketing and Products (TMP) Innovation & Learning team empowers the success of our TMP employees through the content and programs we deliver. We ensure the success and engagement of TMP by designing and delivering business operational processes and systems, learning, innovation, and culture programs that scale with the growth of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a ‘small but mighty’ team of professionals focused on workforce planning, global site operations leadership, headcount systems, and system enablement for the TMP organization.

  • Partner with Real Estate, advocating for TMP needs within our offices and across our various campuses including aligning on workforce planning and goals as well as global employee needs.

  • Improve our global operations processes, ensuring that it is optimized for efficiencies and success as we scale, including alignment of workforce planning, internal transfer systems and tools, data, and dashboards on employee population, streamlining of our headcount management system, and alignment with other processes and systems and many more opportunities.

  • Improve programs across the broader team, with an eye for scalability, exceptional program management, and a data-driven approach.

  • Deliver data and analytics on our business (headcount, locations, etc., pulling from a number of tools).

  • Identify and drive new initiatives to improve TMP and organizational health and engagement.

  • Partner with leadership across the business to identify needs and lead solutions.

  • Provide strategic thought leadership to advise and structure initiatives, identify key themes, develop mitigation plans, and make connections of opportunities across functional areas.

  • Ensure our people, process, and systems are built to scale for long-term growth.

  • Drive internal approval and consensus building for org-wide challenges and initiatives to reduce churn and drive alignment.

Initial Priorities

  • Refine our workforce planning process and headcount management tools and enablement.

  • Build connections, knowledge and scalable processes for TMP representation and success with real estate and workplace operations as we both grow globally and evolve with our success from anywhere approach.

  • Improve processes for all programs across the broader team, with a focus on scaling programs and people.

  • Create meaningful dashboards that will enable the team to utilize data for business decisions.

Required Experience

  • 2-5+ Experience leading workforce planning and business analyst/data analysis efforts. (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.)

  • 10+ years of well-rounded management and execution experience in positions of increasing responsibility.

  • 5+ years of experience as a people leader.

  • Exceptional program management and operations skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and resourceful in achieving success in the face of ambiguity while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities.

  • Solution-oriented, data-driven, learning mindset.

  • Embodies trust. Must have high ethical standards and ability to exercise sound judgment.

  • Champions diversity of team, thought, and opinion.

  • Strong presentation, communication & influence skills.

  • Strong quantitative skills to reinforce data-driven storytelling.

Desired Experience

  • Demonstrated cross-functional communication and relationship building skills with Senior Leadership and C-Level Executives.

  • Very strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse team members and external parties.

  • Exceptional program management and organizational skills, including the ability to lead programs from inception to successful completion.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure work environment.

  • Experience with Salesforce products, including experience with creating dashboards and reports with Salesforce Analytics, Tableau, and Excel/Google Sheets.

  • Understanding of product development processes, Agile practices, and operational activities of a technology organization.

  • On the ground experience with SaaS (preferred) or high tech.
