The Director of Platform Adoption will be accountable for evangelizing and positioning Lumen Services to deliver direct business outcomes for the East Region. Their activity will create greater credibility with the customer and generate net new opportunity adds, by evangelizing Lumen’s capability across the technology landscape and vertical practice areas. The team will be comprised of between 6 to 9 senior vertical technologist heads dependent upon demand.
The Director of Platform Adoption manages teams, that has two areas focus:
To create a foundation for outcome-based solutions by evangelizing and advocating Lumen’s business impact and thought leadership to customers. They Identify what business outcomes can be realized and demonstrate how Lumen’s platform can deliver those outcomes. The goal is to uncover and enable new opportunities for the Lumen account teams to pursue.
Coach the sales and customer success organization, through local enablement programs working with stakeholders to mentor the teams to increase knowledge and capability, supporting the transformation of the organization. To grow pipeline and increase the mix of solutions sold.
The Main Responsibilities
This person will manage and lead a team of change champions focused on coaching, industry, and consultative sales approach. Providing consistent best practice reinforcement and mentoring sales. This team involves shifting mindset, elevating skills, and ensuring teams are leveraging proper resources and set-up for success.
Support the GM’s and CS leaders to ensure that they have the right level of engagement and support
Manages the structure, vision, and organization of the department to ensure the effective fulfilment of objectives with the infrastructure necessary to support growth.
Stimulate a productive and motivating work environment within the organization that drives excellent performance.
Effectively communicates with customer C-level commercial and technical staff on issues related to Lumen proposition. Act as an executive sponsor to enable a strong customer outcome
It will be expected that they will chair and speak at events to evangelize Lumen in the customer and market.
Interface to the product organization, to capture customer input on areas of improvement that is needed to drive greater adoption of Lumen services.
Will continually evaluate and deploy new improved enablement methods and initiatives. Typically collaborates with Product, Marketing and Sales Operations to create content. Drive initiatives and track and measure performance.
Track and measure the results of enablement programs, and regularly report results to key business stakeholders
A change agent leader who will build a strong team to drive a compelling focus on securing new opportunities to support net revenue growth.
A well-rounded, business leader with experience who can manage leading indicators, analyze trends, in line with objectives
A strong leader who can lead and inspire a team to reach their potential
What We Look For in a Candidate
Minimum skills required to perform in this role:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of applicable education and experience required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
Demonstrated sales management experience (at least 5-6 years) in telecommunications sales and sales leadership experience.
A track record for consistently exceeding revenue goals.
Success leading and managing sales teams.
Proven ability to hire, manage, mentor, and motivate successful, solution-oriented sales teams.
Strong record in developing and assigning geographic territories and customer/prospect modules.
Business/financial background is helpful.
Experience is consultative sales techniques and account planning (including account profiling, account positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long-range account management strategies.
