Randstad US Director of Strategic Accounts & Managed Services in Boston, Massachusetts
OVERVIEW
The Director is responsible for the overall success of each assigned Managed In-House Agency/Studio (MIA). This includes managing, developing and partnering with Studio Directors to achieve contractual and operational goals, as well as building relationships with client-side in-house agency leaders. Areas of impact include profitability, team engagement and retention, operational efficiencies, new business development and client relations.
In addition, the Director will support Cella Inc. with consulting, training, networking and business development activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Studio: Assigned Accounts and Related Activities (65%)
Direct management of up to 5 accounts and studio directors/team leads -a combination of MIAs and or Embedded Teams.
Provide mentoring and leadership development for studio directors/team leads.
Hiring, development and performance management of studio directors and team leads including development of annual performance objectives
Support studio directors in hiring and developing MIA leadership teams
During Launch of new MIAs-- lead in the assessment and design of processes, policies and procedures best suited to the needs of each account and its internal clients; support ongoing needs across account life cycle
Identify opportunities to provide enhanced and/or increased services for each End Client Company within and outside of the MIA or Embedded Team as appropriate
Development of studio KPIs and related reporting methodology for each studio specific to end Client's goals and contractual SLAs
Development of diagnostic metrics to support continuous operational improvements
Leadership and organization of account Steering Committee meetings for MIAs and QBRs for Embedded Teams.
Build deep relationships with key client stakeholders- demonstrating thought leadership and industry expertise.
Independently address Client and Studio Manager concerns with minimal escalation
Partner with Cella’s corporate team and counterparts to address Studio staff or operational concerns/issues in a timely manner
Lead performance management process across Studios within your charge
Partner with studio director and MIA leadership teams to develop employee engagement and retention programs
Partner with Resource Managers to maximize account profitability while balancing what is best for the end clients and team members
Studio: Across-the-Board Support (15%)
Cella,Inc. business development outside of assigned accounts
Development and roll-out of culture and community-building activities
Support of non-assigned accounts as requested
Business strategy support: Development of RFIs and RFPs as requested
Non-Studio: Consulting, Training & Networking (20%)
Content creation (e.g., blog post authorship)
Presentation development and delivery at professional development events or other speaking opportunities (e.g., Beyond the Creative, Creative Manager Boot Camp)
Moderation of networking events (e.g., CreativeExecs)
Consulting engagements
Additional activities as requested
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Demonstrated passion toward and in-depth understanding of the in-house creative industry with expertise in leading Video, Digital and Traditional Creative Teams.
Superior communication, presentation and organizational skills
Extremely efficient with an attention to detail
Demonstrated ability and passion to uncover and diagnose complex client business and operational challenges
Enjoys and skilled at client presentations and public speaking
Enjoys and has the ability to write strong journalistic, technical, and client communications related material
Ability to self-manage workload and daily plans
Works well with individuals at all levels of an organization
Ability to gather, analyze and leverage data/metrics to support continuous improvement
Strong excel skills are required
Proficiency using Google mail, calendaring and shared drives
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 10-15 years of experience working within an in-house creative team, at least five of which were in a senior leadership position. *
Large team management experience required
External agency experience a plus, but not required
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Position is full-time and remote.
The role requires travel between 30–40% of the time, which includes same-day and overnight trips

The base salary range for this position is $125,875.00 - $179,300.00.

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Based on eligibility, a successful candidate’s total compensation may include a variable pay plan including bonus(es) and/or commission(s). In setting compensation, Randstad complies with all local wage and hour laws and while the pay range listed above is an annual amount, non-exempt employees will be paid hourly and therefore receive the hourly equivalent.
