The Director of Reporting and Data Analysis (People Leader role) leads a distributed medical economics team that supports growth initiative value reporting for AIM Specialty Health and myNEXUS business units. We are seeking an individual with demonstrable experience leading healthcare analytics teams with a focus on value-based and cost-of-care programs in partnership with clinical stakeholders. The ideal candidate can effectively convey analytics frameworks and thought leadership in shepherding new solution development towards market-facing implementations. Proven track record of deploying effective talent management programs and establishing a high standard of performance for hybrid teams that work collaboratively on-site and/or remote.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead financial modeling efforts for the business which helps guide new Utilization and Care Management solution development.

• Leverages medical and healthcare data sets, such as medical claims, reimbursements, and competitive intel to provide compelling insights and recommendations to executive teams on actions to take to drive New Solutions initiative performance.

• Manage a team of associates with responsibilities across all health plan lines of business, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance of direct reports. Continued development of team through training and effective organizational development practices.

• Collaborate with AIM/myNEXUS Solutions and clinical program leaders to develop and refine solution evaluation metrics following go-live. Assess initiative performance across medical expense and service utilization targets. Develop timelines and action plans to mitigate potential performance risks, including escalations from customers.

• Lead multi-departmental projects by closely coordinating with UM business and technical resources. Ensure a high level of reporting accuracy and timeliness of output and deliverables for partnering functional areas.

• Successful in establishing strong relationships across Executive and Business Leader audiences.

• Oversee initiative prioritization and proactively coordinate highly visible, strategic initiative requests within and across AIM/myNEXUS Analytics teams.

• Ensure AIM/myNEXUS Executive teams requesting analytics support are briefed and prepared to act on team’s fact-based recommendations.

Requires Bachelor's degree and minimum of 9 years of experience in financial, utilization, and quality measures of health care, managed care information development, physician profiling reporting or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Highly preferred skills and experience:

-Experience specific to health insurance or health insurance claims data or graduate-level related education (MBA or MPH) may also be used to offset years of experience. Familiarity with medical management or population health programs is highly desired.

-BS/BA degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Computer Science, or a quantitative-related experience

-Experience with SQL modeling, RStudio , Python R coding

-12+ years related experience in an analytics environment performing medical economics reporting or similar analytics experience

-Preference for candidates with healthcare analytics experience

-Certifications with modern analytics software, and technologies

-Possess working knowledge of healthcare data and measurement standards such as ICD10, CPT/HCPCS, MS-DRG, DxCG, PMPM, and utilization

Applicable to Colorado Applicants Only

Annual Salary Range*: $139,000-174,000

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
