IQVIA Director of Product Management - Growth Strategy in Boston, Massachusetts
Working hand in hand with our Cross functional IQVIA Product Portfolio team, you will be driving product strategy to increase existing product's value and user base with the focus on managing all activities required to bring a profitable product to market, to help an existing product become more successful while identifying new opportunities in the clinical trial management space.
In this role, you closely work with cross functional members (marketing, sales, solution engineering, product managers, product owners, architects, experience designers, P/L owner) to directly influence mid-term and long term product strategy consisting more than 10+ products. Your goal is to create an industry leading product growth strategy which gives IQVIA Site Suite and Planning Suite Products a world class experience in SaaS user base. Your success in this role drives our customer’s success.
YOU (WILL) :
Be directly associated with Strategy, Markets & Roadmap Positioning:
Set the overall strategy and vision for a solution suite in partnership with executive sponsor and senior stakeholders.
Ensure that roadmaps are maintained for all solutions in the product suite and monitor for risks and dependencies.
Research and synthesize internal and external market requirements, market and technology trends along with a competitive analysis that feeds the product strategy & roadmaps
Provide guidance and oversight for business case development across the product suite, monitoring for risks and value is being delivered
Partner with Go-to-Market Team to effectively communicate the value proposition and messaging for the product suite, case studies, sales tools, and collateral.
Effectively communicate with customers, sales, marketing, development, and senior management as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Work with product engineering team with an understanding of the fundamentals of software development processes and procedures, including agile approach for feasibility analysis when necessary
Directly Drive Product Growth Strategy:
Work with senior stakeholders to define scalable and saleable solution suite to meet client needs
Provide guidance and review of offerings-related activities, including scope of work, objectives, timelines, and quality of deliverables
Provide oversight and guidance for buy-build-partner analysis across product suite, and where necessary, review potential partner relationships.
Strong sense of MVP from Value Positioning and ROI for company and customers
Proven leadership track record, organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics, with good judgment and ability to manage competing priorities
Promoted a shared vision of success, translate that vision into an operational plan, and work collaboratively and cross-functionally to achieve a positive outcome in the face of obstacles, challenges and set-backs
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to develop and champion robust business cases supporting the solution suite
Strong communications skills, including the ability to engage with clients and prospects to understand their business and operations requirements
Passion to innovate existing business processes and translate your hypotheses into action through the application of agile software development practice
Bachelor's Degree /MBA Preferred
10+ years of strategic leadership and product management experience
Managed large, complex project initiatives involving many departments and cross-functional teams.
Maintained accountability to P&L owner for product suite finances and periodic reporting on key metrics
Experience with designing and developing Software as a Service or Platform as a Service products
Strong track record of successfully deploying technology innovations to enable business growth
Experience with leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.
Understanding of technology, data science and/or machine learning concepts, with the ability to convey to non-technical audiences
Experience with relevant platforms such as big data, analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, enterprise systems integration, hybrid and multi-cloud
Developed strategic partnerships with software vendors that enabled revenue growth and/or operational efficiency
Led transformation of Software as a Service initiatives from discovery through implementation
Proven ability to establish credibility with a world-class team, leveraging business acumen, technical expertise, and effective communication
Working experience collaborating with user experience/UI design
Excel to drive and enable cross-team, inter-product collaboration and solutioning
Passionate about driving product excellence, as a leader in the continuous development of agile methodology
You enjoy solving complex challenges, building effective functional teams and improving development processes while having the ability to manage-up and cross-organizationally via influence, negotiation & inspiration.
You are a recognized thought leader internally and externally in a field of expertise.
A subject matter expert for the development team regarding key goals, and act as the primary liaison to senior stakeholders and executive sponsors, ensuring ongoing visibility to development progress.
Mentor and coaching in a quickly growing team that is key to delivering differentiating solutions
You can define capabilities and navigate tradeoffs to enable our core platform to scale offerings, delight customers, and allow our technologists to innovate more quickly
You can command excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
You are able to break down the product idea to iterative product modules aligned with market and client expectations
