This position currently offers relocation assistance for candidates outside of the Boston Area ( 50mi) .

As a member of the properties Leadership Committee, the Director of Operations is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership.

The Director of Operations will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operations, aligned to deliver the Hyatt Regency brand experiences and standards.

Duties include the following:

• Responsible for short and long-term planning and the management of Food & Beverage/Rooms operations

• Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans

• Participate in total hotel management as a member of the Hotel Leadership Committee

• Implement and maintain sales and marketing programs

• Train and coach colleagues, executing necessary decisions to drive Hyatt’s purpose and achieve Hyatt’s goal of becoming the most preferred hospitality brand in our local market

• Implement and ensure the hotel’s operations meet brand standards while building colleague engagement, understanding guests’ needs and maximizing hotel revenue

• Direct the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for operations

• Resolve customer complaints to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality

• Implement procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction

• Exercise quality control

• Perform daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards

• Maintain communications with Corporate colleagues

• Support Hyatt's purpose by identifying opportunities to display authentic human care to guests and colleagues so they can be their best

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have 6 years of progressive senior leadership experience, preferably with Hyatt

• Candidate will have the ability to lead and manage the guest experience throughout all hotel operations

• Proven leadership skills and ability to develop team leaders into future roles

• Degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management is an asset

• Must possess the following strengths: High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line for the hotel's operation

• Candidate should have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills

• Must be able to have fun at work!
