Humana Director, IT Infrastructure Procurement in Boston, Massachusetts

Humana seeks a dynamic Procurement Director, IT Infrastructure to collaborate with c-suite executives, driving business transformation. This role requires leadership experience in diverse procurement categories such as infrastructure and telecom category management and value-added reseller strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business plans and budgets, aligning with company goals.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to champion sourcing initiatives.

  • Provide leadership, oversee work quality, and offer constructive feedback to direct reports.

  • Communicate company, department, and individual performance goals.

  • Recruit, hire, and train a talented team of employees.

  • Supervise planning process with Category Managers to develop and recommend sourcing solutions.

  • Apply analytics to enable cost savings and ensure an adequate supply chain.

  • Create category strategies with strategic vendors and negotiate strategies and programs.

  • Directly manage complex global negotiations with suppliers.

  • Manage development of procedures to ensure goods and services are available to business units.

  • Drive execution of divisional benefits and/or cost savings goals.

  • Maintain positive vendor relationships, monitor supplier performance, and hold suppliers accountable.

  • Support talent development of team members and overall development of cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7+ years of experience in category management strategies for infrastructure and telecom.

  • 5+ years of direct, indirect, and/or cross-functional team leadership. Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving customer experiences.

  • 7+ years of experience applying strategic sourcing practices focused on meeting the business challenges and needs of the organization.

  • 5+ years of experience developing and implementing requirements to execute strategic sourcing activities.

  • 2+ years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.

  • Demonstrated experience interacting with senior-level executives.

  • Experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing to various audiences.

  • Experience with business alignment and global sourcing.

  • Experience in new business development of global partnerships.

  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing, procurement lifecycle, and procurement best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Procurement expertise in IT infrastructure categories over $800 million annually.

  • Experience leading a procurement team with more than three (3) people.

  • Experience managing spend over $1 billion annually across multiple categories.

  • Demonstrated experience managing value-added resellers (VARs).

  • Demonstrated experience with Coupa Sourcing, iCertis, and Salesforce CRM.

  • Leadership experience in synergizing global partnerships.

  • Experience with conducting and guiding analysis for industry potential evaluation.

  • Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$149,800 - $206,100 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
