SessionM, an Engineering team within Mastercard Company, builds and maintains a Cloud-based SaaS platform empowering the world’s most innovative brands to forge stronger and more profitable customer relationships. Our SaaS platform powers loyalty & rewards programs and scales for the enterprise, globally. SessionM is currently expanding our team in Prague and are looking for best talents to be an integral part of our Engineering team.
Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining tools to ensure our applications meet SLA's and help maximum security, scalability and performance.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute Infrastructure Strategy in alignment with organization’s overall objectives.
Lead and mentor a global team of Infrastructure and Cloud operation engineers. Conduct goal setting and performance appraisal processes, identifies and coaches top talent within own team.
Lead large, corporate-wide information and operations technology initiatives, ensuring successful completion within set milestones, deliverables, budgets, and timelines, seeking opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop a global Cloud Infrastructure and Operations strategy, policies, procedures, SLAs, and ensure adherence.
Leads holistic platform security posture, which includes proactively identifying security risks and implementing both risk mitigation plans and control functions.
Establish and enforce best practices for Infrastructure operations, including monitoring, automation and disaster recovery.
Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance our Infrastructure capabilities.
Oversee financial aspect of the Cloud Infrastructure and implement FinOps strategies.
Manage Vendor relationships and contracts related to Infrastructure and cloud services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in Enterprise SaaS platforms, Infrastructure engineering, or cloud operations technical leadership role.
Extensive knowledge or cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
Extensive knowledge of Cloud Security and networking, Compliance, Data Privacy and implementing ITSM processes.
Extensive knowledge of infrastructure via Infrastructure as code tools such Terraform.
Experience in implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of building high performance teams.
Has skills to evaluate practices, metrics, and roles to continually optimize SDLC methodologies and automate processes to improve lead time and quality.
Has skills to perform architecture and cost analysis for public cloud environments.
Has skills to define and drive advanced chaos and other operational testing practices to test points of failures, monitors, and system behaviors under adverse conditions (e.g., resource spikes, network congestion, component or infrastructure failure).
Demonstrated success at cultivating strategic internal and external relationships to remove process challenges and elevations and address potential issues before they arise.
Experience leading continuous process improvement initiatives for operational and financial value by leveraging complex tools and technologies
Extensive experience growing and motivating a team; coaches members through career milestones and progression.

Location Requirements: This is a hybrid position based in Mastercard's Boston, Massachusetts, Arlington, Virginia or O'Fallon, Missouri locations.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
