Essential Functions of the job:

  • Work with HEOR colleagues to support submissions via HTA analysis, focusing on North America, EU and New Markets

  • Provide quantitative support to local adaptation and regulatory requests

  • Function as a mentor or manager in the biostatistics group

Responsibilities:

  • Attend advisory board meetings and internal strategic meetings and provide statistical analysis input.

  • Collaborate with HEOR and external vendor to build models in support of global submissions with a focus on HTA analysis

  • Collaborate with the statistical programming staff to ensure that all programs meet internal and external analysis requirements.

  • Contribute significantly in key and innovative ways to the analyses, including the interpretation of results and the presentation to leadership of findings.

  • Reviews of vendor-supplied data and analysis as needed.

  • Provide quantitative support to local adjustment and regulatory adhoc requests.

  • Identify and anticipate technical or other potential problems arising in the design, conduct, and analysis of studies, proposing and implementing solutions.

  • Serve as the statistical representative in cross-functional teams.

  • Contribute to creation/maintenance of, and provide training on, statistical topics and departmental SOPs, work instructions, etc.

  • Drive strategy for improved processes, contributing to new departmental SOPs, work instructions, and provide training on statistical topics and departmental SOPs, work instructions.

  • Ensure consistency and adherence to standards across compounds and/or therapeutic areas.

General Qualifications:

  • Proficient with statistical analysis methodologies and experimental design related to oncology and immunology products.

  • Working knowledge of statistical and data processing software e.g. SAS and/or R.

  • Comfortable with presenting findings to team and leadership, with developed oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to learn, being proactive, motivated, and consistently focused on details and project execution.

  • Strong demonstrated interest in statistical research activities and application of novel methods to clinical trial development.

  • Ability to work in a team environment with clinical team members.

  • Knowledge of clinical trial design concepts; in-depth knowledge of all phases of the drug development process.

  • Demonstrated skill in the planning, analysis and reporting of clinical trials.

Education Required:

  • PhD or equivalent degree in statistics/biostatistics or related discipline with a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years relevant work experience

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft office apps, SAS and R

Travel:

  • 0-10%
