Meet Our Team:

Pega is looking for a Director of Cloud Alliances to join our Alliances team and manage our key cloud alliance partners, including AWS. The Director of Cloud Alliances will be responsible for driving key analysis on GTM programs and initiatives across technology and competitive trends and relevance to our cloud partners and end client’s businesses. He/she will play an instrumental role in the GTM team to drive and recommend GTM plans and co-selling strategies to drive and accelerate Pega sales. Key to success is the ability to be able to work on a wide variety of initiatives from partnerships, sales, product services, and strategy and analyze what is “working” and “not working” to support Pega’s objectives.

You have the opportunity to be a strategic force within Pega to generate mutually beneficial results for the Pega solutions and the GTM organization. You will be able to provide analytical insights and recommendations to the company and go-to-market team on how best to improve or impact the product and programs to match the company objectives. You will have the opportunity to manage some of the largest technology cloud partners to execute a consistent GTM plan with each support cloud alliance.

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Implement a business plan which strategically aligns Pega and cloud partners with scalable ‘win-win’ opportunities that will drive revenues with accountability through sell-to/sell-through/sell-with activities

  • Develop and manage relationships with cloud partners and align to accounts in Pega sales organization within regions and vertical industries

  • Evangelize Pega’s products, solutions and brand to partner stakeholders creating enthusiasm and demand to work with Pega

  • Manage partner sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts to Pega alliance management

  • Strategize, negotiate & close partner agreements and support the sales process for end-customer agreements

  • Formulate and manage incentive partner budgets and KPIs; assuring the highest efficiency in partner marketing

  • Collaborate and communicate with cross functional stakeholders (internal and external), extended team members and external customer/partner audiences on the status and key milestones with alliances

  • Create and execute high quality marketing collateral, sales decks, social media, press releases, analyst briefings and webinar content aligned to priority solutions with measurable ROI

  • Facilitate co-marketing plans and align with Pega marketing activities and initiatives

  • Conduct C-level conversations with Executives at Pega and cloud alliance partners

  • Ensure appropriate technical enablement and product roadmap visibility with cloud alliance partners

  • Support Pega direct sales team on cloud partner related matters, rules of engagement, and conflict resolution

Who You Are:

You are a strategic thinker and relationship builder that can develop strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders that generate mutually beneficial results for your company and the GTM organization. You understand the company objectives and go-to-market initiatives, partner sell-through and sell-with models, vertical markets such as public sector, financial services, etc. You will measure and evaluate various go-to-market initiatives with Cloud alliance partnerships. You will be able to provide analytical insights and recommendations to the company and go-to-market team on how best to improve or impact the programs to match the company objectives.

What You've Accomplished:

  • MBA degree or equivalent experience

  • 7-10 years of strategy, partnerships, and/or business development experience in the technology industry or vertical industry

  • Experience working effectively across different sales, business development and technical teams, bringing together a cross functional team to deliver results

  • Solid understanding of business models for all types of partnerships

  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, and people leadership skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment

  • Strong time management skills

  • Proven consultative skills, including the ability to articulate a clear, concise return on investment value statement

  • Experience delivering sales messaging that articulates complex business and technical concepts to cross-functional audiences

  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment

  • Preferred metro areas: SF Bay Area, Cambridge (MA), Seattle metro

  • Prior experience in managing large cloud providers such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, etc.

  • Demonstrated success driving organizational change within partner/client organizations

  • Experienced in managing and leading strategic alliance teams
