About the role:

Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company that will inspire you and empower you to shine? Join us as the Digital Innovation and Engagement, at the Associate Director level, located in Cambridge, MA. This position reports into the Customer Engagement Lead.

How you will contribute:

The Digital Innovation and Engagement Lead is a digital marketing and analytics role focused on platforms, technology, and omni-channel engagement across the Primary Immune Deficiency (PID) & Neuromuscular franchises (NM).

Core areas of accountability are:

  • Manage complex, multi-year strategic initiatives and design scalable solutions including digital and non-digital channels across the PDT portfolio

  • Innovate, evaluate and execute digital marketing opportunities while optimizing the omni-channel experience in personal and non-personal channel ecosystem

  • Develop close relationships with PDT stakeholders to maximize utility across commercial platforms and drive deep integration between sales and marketing data-driven initiatives.

  • Establish digital marketing KPIs and build capabilities that reinforce data driven decision making with the brand teams

  • Develops strong cross-functional collaboration with internal PDT stakeholders (e.g., Insights & Analytics) to ensure pull-through of business-critical initiatives and alignment of channel analytics capabilities with customer experience marketing capabilities.

  • Partners closely with internal Takeda subject matter experts and functional colleagues to appropriately represent PDT needs within larger US BU strategic and operational discussions.

  • Creates a network of partners who can provide technologies, talent, and methodologies supporting rapid, iterative innovation to collect demand, deliver on the business needs, ensure enhancement of the commercial solutions and drive adoption of these.

This individual will work closely with and within approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with home office-based colleagues in Marketing, Analytics, IT, Sales, Patient Services, and Market Access.

All interactions are always within label and consistent with commercial compliance, and legal and regulatory guidelines.

Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement

  • Leverage Takeda data and digital technologies to create a fit-for-purpose PDT ecosystem that is scalable and repeatable across the Primary Immune Deficiency (PID) & Neuromuscular franchises (NM).

  • Drive alignment across PDT channel experts and marketing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on best-in-class collaboration across technology assets.

  • Build integrated capabilities across the PDT network of internal partners to ensure enhancement, adoption, and pull-through of technology solutions are fully leveraged across the PDT Business Unit. Works closely with sales operations to define fit-for-purpose applications of technology in the field.

Insights & Analytics

  • Partners with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Insights & Analytics) to build and refine the PDT data roadmap to identify actionable insights to strengthen the PDT customer experience.

  • Utilize data analytics tools and platforms to track, analyze, and act upon omni-channel customer engagement data

  • Define data management capabilities and identify gaps to enhance data standardization and harmonization.

  • Leverage data from relevant systems to refine or develop new metrics that lead to actionable insights to improve customer engagement

  • Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) (e.g., email open rates, content downloads, etc.) and ensure best practices are met.

  • Engage in pilots/thoughtful experimentation with different content, messaging, and communication channels to determine what resonates best with HCPs.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Digital Marketing, Business related fields or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of relevant Digital Marketing and Customer Experience solutions leadership experience

  • Professional in-depth knowledge of commercial business processes in pharmaceutical industry

  • Ability to think big picture but also manage execution of multiple tactics by engaging key stakeholders within Takeda and across multiple agencies/vendors

  • Strong technical understanding of Pharma sales and marketing systems and data architecture

  • Strong understanding of commercial sales & marketing processes and underlying data

  • Ability to read, write and speak in the English language

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, with problem solving and analytical skills

  • Experience in presenting at conferences and business meetings

  • Experience of working in an international, multi-country, multi-cultural environment

  • Experienced software or solution implementation/delivery with demonstrated success working in the Pharmaceutical or Life Science Industry and/or business solutions

  • Travel of up to 25% may be required from this position.

  • The ability to execute and drive accountability across stakeholders and initiatives by providing timely feedback to meet PDT Business Unit priorities

  • Analytics and Insights gathering and appreciation of need for supporting data infrastructure

  • Drive to reuse of current platforms and capabilities for data, digital and multichannel capabilities

  • Sponsorship to build new platforms when required

  • Manage multiple projects

  • Strong Communication

Preferred:

  • MBA and/or client services experience at a creative agency experience

  • Technical proficiency with data visualization tools a plus

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$149,100.00 - $234,300.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
