The Industry Solutions organization empowers our customers to digitally transform their businesses, using our deep industry and technical expertise, to deliver relevant, customized solutions and services, built on a secure, integrated cloud platform.

The Industry Solutions global team is looking for a Design Manager to join our team. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for helping us bring our new visual identity to life through vibrant, high-touch graphic expression and creative campaign strategy and development. You will play a key role in creating inclusive designs and accessible experiences for our customers. You will apply the team operating model to drive project execution, leveraging a team of agencies and vendors.

You are an artist, who is passionate about the creative process and loves visual storytelling. You’re great at diving into unknown territory and helping invent simple, elegant solutions to complex design problems. You have a high bar for design excellence and are proficient at setting design standards for others to follow and build ideas upon.

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $113,900 and $171,500. At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Own Industry Solutions organization visual expression, refining it across proposals, pitches, and internal and external events.

  • Influence customer perceptions and behaviors with innovative visual storytelling.

  • Partner with Industry Solutions teams to build out their visual identity and consult on their best representation at events, in alignment with the Global Industry Audience Marking team.

  • Support our strategic accounts’ sales executives in transforming our most strategic new business proposals into engaging storytelling experiences that win the hearts and minds of the c-suite.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to review creative briefs and develop game-changing visuals for campaigns across a variety of offerings, audiences, and channels.

  • Lead creative visual development of innovative internal and external campaigns, from concept to delivery across digital and physical platforms.

  • Provide guidance to and collaborate with a team of agency designers and writers, to drive the realization of projects.

  • Quickly develop visual concepts and mockups that demonstrate your ideas in context.

  • Effectively communicate visual concepts and design recommendations to leadership in both written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

Key Requirements

  • 7+ yearsof design experience

  • Portfolio of work to share that demonstrates your talents

  • Creativeexperienceand passion for immersive visual storytelling

  • High level of ownership and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an ability to convey a creative vision clearly and effectively

  • Customer obsession and passionfor collaboration and bringing ideas to life

  • Inclusive design and accessibility experience

  • Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign and related design and production software

  • Experience with animation and motion graphics

  • Have a growth mindset and a pre-disposition to learning culture
