Our team helps companies navigate the accounting and financial reporting challenges of business combinations. As part of the team, you’ll develop roadmaps of the driving economic objectives, determine the appropriate professionals needed, and consider financial reporting implications for deals.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates thorough knowledge of, and a proven record of success in due diligence roles, preferably in a consulting, investment banking, or private equity investment setting, exhibiting the following traits:

  • Working with business frameworks to analyze markets, determine strategic decisions, and assess company position and performance;

  • Working with alternative data and market data sets to draw insights on competitive positioning and company performance;

  • Demonstrating working knowledge about financial statements, business cycles (revenue, supply chain, etc.), business diligence, financial modeling, and valuation, etc.;

  • Delivering projects in a dynamic, collaborative environment and working under time sensitive client deadlines;

  • Delivering business results that reflect strategic, creative thinking and individual initiative;

  • Managing multi-resource engagements, including off-shore resources: using work plans to manage execution, addressing challenges, proactive and effective communication with clients, stakeholders, team members and lateral counterparts;

  • Demonstrating a proven level of ability of communication and presentation skills in client settings with executive presence and a high degree of emotional intelligence; and,

  • Demonstrating a proven level of ability to quickly identify and address client needs and build relationships, including PwCs internal network, to address client needs.

Demonstrates a thorough level of technical capabilities with a proven track record of addressing clients’ strategic needs through the use of advanced technology, data, and analytics by:

  • Demonstrating experience with collaboration, ingenuity, and innovation to apply tools and techniques to address client questions;

  • Synthesizing insights and recommendations into a tight and cohesive presentation for leadership;

  • Conducting quantitative analyses of complex data, including market and competitor analysis (market sizing, drivers and dynamics), customer analysis and internal analysis (strategic analysis, business model reviews, and financials);

  • Demonstrating a proven record of success in data extraction/transformation, analytics, and visualization approaches and a high degree of data fluency;

  • Demonstrating a proven record of success leveraging data and business intelligence software to turn data into insights and communicate findings with stakeholders;

  • Demonstrating proven skills in the following preferred: Excel, Alteryx, PowerBI, and Tableau;

  • Working with relational databases/data models;

  • Demonstrating knowledge about and experience with basic programming is preferred but not required. This includes: Python, R, SQL, Matlab, C++, etc.; and,

  • Demonstrating a thorough level of knowledge of advanced analytics, big data, and AI/ML concepts.
