At Regions, the Corporate Compliance Function Manager operates as a first, second, or third line of defense risk management expert that advises on business and/or product decisions. The manager will have full ownership for one or more products or processes, contributing to process change and redesign in addition to developing business plans, policies, and procedures to support a specific line of business.
Assists in conducting compliance reviews and provides oversight of legal entities, business units, and processes
Advises leadership on business and/or product decisions
Gathers and provides requested information to regulatory agencies and advises management on potential and ongoing compliance issues
Maintains proficient knowledge of rules and regulations and their impact on products, services, and operations
Assists in resolving complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes
Administers a monitoring and testing program to ensure effective compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Creates and delivers training to assigned business area to increase compliance awareness
May supervise day-to-day work of other professional level compliance associates
May contribute to workflow or process change and redesign, and risk and control identification
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Bachelor’s degree and eight (8) years of experience in compliance, quality assurance/control, audit, or other related compliance function specific to a line of business
Or High School Diploma or GED and twelve (12) years of experience in compliance, quality assurance/control, audit, or other related compliance function specific to a line of business
Knowledge of legal and regulatory environment as it relates to compliance in a specific line of business
Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)

Additional preferences for this specific opportunity
Consult and provide support to AML Risk Coordinators (ARC’s) regarding financial crimes regulatory compliance matters within Private Wealth Management
Review business and desk procedural updates, as well as other internal changes with BSA implications, to ensure compliance with Enterprise policies and standards
Keep informed of and provide support to the risk assessment and suspicious activity assessment processes
Oversee issue resolution by the applicable stakeholders within Private Wealth Management
Work with stakeholders to identify and monitor control breakpoints and Key Risk Indicators
Through New Initiative Risk Assessment participation, evaluate and assign a risk rating to new products, services, strategies, or enterprise impacting technology projects, as well as changes to existing products, services, strategies or enterprise impacting technology products
Work with stakeholders to determine whether new or enhanced controls are needed to mitigate risk, and assist with implementation, as necessary
Work with Culture, Communication and Training Manager and stakeholders to develop annual Business Unit Specific Financial Crimes training within Private Wealth Management
Develop, communicate, oversee, deliver training on new or targeted topics
