We are a passionate team of doers and thinkers who are determined to stop child abuse in Massachusetts. We are looking for a creative, insightful, and tech-savvy communications intern who thrives on making a difference. If you are curious, flexible, self-motivated, like data, and care about the most effective ways to spread the word, then this is the position for you! In this role, you will be an integral part of the Marketing and Communications Team, working closely with team members, supporting other functional areas, participating in meetings, assisting in planning and operations, and working on key projects to help meet marketing and communications goals. You will gain skills in developing and executing marketing plans, managing website content and social media, supporting fundraising and development initiatives, legislative advocacy and promoting programs and events. Note this fall internship may have the option to extend through May or Summer 2025. Responsibilities: • Develop content for social media, website, emails, etc. • Maintain updates for multiple websites: childrenstrustma.org and healthyfamiliesma.org • Develop and monitor compelling social media campaigns • Support website changes and modifications to help improve the user experience • Develop and/or support multimedia communications for development, including email campaigns and events • Assist in developing, staffing and promoting events and conferences, such as our View from All Sides conference and various fundraising events • Support the mission of the Children’s Trust and assist with other projects and areas of the organization as needed • Perform related duties as needed Qualifications: • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student • Excellent research, writing, editing, and proofing skills • Highly communicative and collaborative • Works effectively with minimal direction • Strong working knowledge of social media and best practices • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite • Experience or interest in email campaign software (Mailchimp), and website management, a plus • Experience or interest in creating short-form video content Questions regarding this position or the application process should be directed to Dawn.E.DeRoche@mas.gov.
