As a Commercial Sales Manager in our Offshore business you manage the sales process externally and internally regarding commercial and contractual matters. You are responsible, in the sales team, for optimizing the financial and commercial outcome of projects and takes an active role in negotiating the commercial parts of the contracts.
How to contribute to our vision
As our Commercial Sales Manager you will co-drive activities in the sales team together with the Sales Director and Sales Project Manager as well as contributing to strong competitive solutions by ensuring a high transparency and clarity on the customer’s business cases.
It is your responsibility to perform commercial evaluation of risk and opportunity analysis in alignment with experts and stakeholders and prepare approval documentation, present and get approved sufficient mandate on legal, commercial and financial risks during approval meetings with senior management. You will manage clarification, annotation, mark-up and negotiation of T&Cs with commercial and financial implications, develop negotiation strategy on commercial terms and conditions as well as lead commercial and legal negotiations
In this role you will support early customer engagement and collaboration including consult customers on commercial aspects, financing models, financial engineering and contractual details just as you will support the development of a winning strategy with commercial inputs and estimations
You will be contributing to bid generation in alignment with all stakeholders.
You will maintain the following responsibilities:
Support preparation of project specific sales forecasts and budgets
Ensuring that prices and conditions in the signed contracts are inside the mandate
Participating in knowledge sharing on an ongoing basis by implementation, identification and registration of lessons learned
Setting expectations, motivating and developing a high-performance environment
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
The ideal candidate has an academical background in Business Administration, Finance, Legal or comparable education with professional experience of at least 5 years. You have international project sales experience, preferably in the (wind) energy or construction industry.
You have profound knowledge in legal aspects, project financing, commercial topics, calculation methods/finance models, contract management and contract negotiation.
It is important that you have the ability to understand customer commercial requirements and bid evaluation methods and you have strong awareness of commercial financial topics (bonds, escalation, currency, indemnities, liabilities, etc.).
