The Translational Neuroscience Center is looking to hire a Clinical Research Specialist I for oversight of clinical research studies in rare neurogenetic disorders, including observational studies, natural history registry and clinical trials. The clinical research specialist joins a team of project managers, genetic counselors and research assistants to provide analytical, data management and methodological support to Principal Investigators in the development of clinical research protocols and data management tools. The clinical research specialist manages protocols and data for single and multi -institutional investigations on neurogenetic disorders.
Main Responsibilities include:
Under minimum supervision, coordinates clinical research studies, including recruiting and enrolling study participants. Maintains research study documentation. Completes Case Study Report Forms.
Assists Principal Investigator and/or research team members in study procedures.
Conducts data collection activities and prepares analytical reports regarding results of studies.
Participates in writing articles and summary papers for various publications.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or Masters of Science and 1 year of relevant work experience.
Experience with human subjects review board protocol preparation, participant recruitment, data collection, working with secondary or administrative datasets, multidisciplinary research, and report writing.
Excellent writing skills.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams.
Self-motivated and ability to operate independently.
