This Clinical Research Assistant I will be responsible for:

  • Consenting and recruiting participants and written communications with participants. Providing detailed background information regarding the study to participants, communicating all policies and procedures, and responding to all inquiries.

  • Providing basic data coordination and data entry services for studies supported by the program.

  • Serving as liaison to participants in the research studies and acting as a resource to study participants, addressing any concerns they may have. Troubleshooting resolution of any issues that may arise throughout the study.

  • Executing study protocols and promoting progress in accordance with study timelines

  • Managing data (creating data bases, data entry, verification, analysis, graphing).

  • Coordinating and preparing the necessary documentation for Institutional Review Board (IRB), together with the Site Principal Investigator (PI) of the study.

  • Creating and preparing data collection statistical reports and analytical summaries for distribution to study research team for review and analysis. May contribute to literature searches and assistance with preparation of grant materials and writing of articles and summary papers of studies for submission to journals.

  • Participating in the training of newly hired research study assistants and interns, as required.

  • Coordinating activities between the hospital, collaborating sites, and research funding bodies to ensure correct participant tracking, data management, and testing/processing and sending out instructions specific to the study.

  • Monitoring and reviewing data collection and data entry and informed consent procedures, ensuring consistency of application for each study.

  • Participating in regular meetings.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to multi-task, analytical skills to gather and interpret data.

  • Well-developed communication skills.
