    The Opportunity and Who You’ll Work With:

Position Type: Regular, Full Time, Benefits Eligible

Work Format: Hybrid; 3 days onsite, up to 2 days remote.

Schedule: Monday – Friday. Hours are typically 09:00AM-05:00PM ET.

At WBUR, our Business Partnerships team is responsible for securing sponsorship and funding for editorial initiatives across all of WBUR’s platforms, including our local and national broadcasts, podcasts and on-demand audio, digital display and newsletters, live events, and custom content.

As part of the Client and Creative Services group within Business Partnerships, you will play a key role with the pre- and post-sale process, from working side-by-side with Account Executives to create compelling sales cases, materials and proposals to helping with the execution and optimization of all advertising campaigns across all of our platforms.

You will be an integral part of the team and reports directly to the Business Development Marketing Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • (50%) Advertising Support:

  • Input contracts as directed by Ad Ops Manager.

  • Responsible for annual, monthly and weekly report revenue summaries and client reports.

  • Oversee the general account activity for Business Partnerships team including helping with the creation of schedules, proposals, custom department and client reports, discrepancy resolution, copy creation and maintenance, annual budget projections reports and spot times.

  • Help manage Salesforce contact management systems.

  • Create MP3s for the department as needed for accounts and be available for miscellaneous client requests.

  • Coordinate elements of client campaign execution using platforms such as Megaphone, AdsWizz, NewsletterGlue, Marketing Cloud.

  • (20%) Research & Data Analysis:

  • Pull research reports from Nielsen, Scarborough, ACT, Media Monitors, and other sources to support the sales efforts of the Business Partnerships team.

  • Analyze data and develop compelling narratives to support business objectives for client pitches.

  • Update data across sales materials on a quarterly basis.

  • (15%) Sales Materials & Outreach Tools:

  • Create sales materials related to research.

  • Create and update additional sales materials as needed.

  • Support proposal development.

  • (15%) Special Projects:

  • Work on special projects as needed for the Director of Business Partnerships, Department Managers and Account Executives.

  • Annual WBUR Gala auction coordination:

  • Collaborate with the Development Team to coordinate the auction for WBUR’s annual Gala.

  • Work with Account Executives and their clients to coordinate the details and procurement of items.

  • Assist the Development Team with adding the items to the online auction site.

  • Coordinate paperwork with Finance department.

  • Fundraising premiums and Member Benefits Card:

  • Collaborate with the Membership Team to coordinate fundraising premiums and the Member Benefits Card.

  • Work with Account Executives and their clients to coordinate the details and procurement of items.

  • Assist the Membership Team with adding the details to the website.

  • Work with WBUR’s Trade Representative:

  • Secure trade receipts.

  • Provide reporting on trade balances.

Required Skills

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent/relevant experience.

  • A minimum of 2 years of media experience in an advertising or data analyst capacity.

  • Experience with presentation building software such as PowerPoint and Google Sheets.

  • Familiarity with campaign management, including digital and broadcast platforms.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Genuine interest in the media and advertising industries.
