Edwards Lifesciences Cardiovascular Sales Specialist, Greater Boston Area - Surgical Structural Heart in Boston, Massachusetts
The Cardiovascular Sales Specialist is our multifaceted sales professional, who promotes the products and services of the Surgical Structural Heart division and educates customers on the safe and effective use of these devices.
The ideal candidate will live in the Boston Area and it will require about 25% travel throughout the territory.
Day in the Life:
In this role, you will identify sales opportunities based on both patient and surgeon needs. Our Cardiovascular Specialist tailors product recommendations to facilitate excellent patient and procedural outcomes and attain/exceed quota. In addition to launching new products with success, you will also develop new business opportunities and continue the adoption with our established customers. This is often done, by providing guidance to enable physicians and staff to reach expertise and achieve positive patient outcomes. Lastly, this person will educate physicians on medical literature, concepts and procedures related to Surgical Heart products. You will work primarily with cardiac surgeons for this position.
Our strongest sales reps have been successful by preparing complex analyses for accurate targeting and planning by account, product and therapy. They develop sales forecasts and execute strategic plans for the territory. This is done most effectively, when they maintain thorough territory knowledge, including competitive activity and customer utilization practices. Lastly, our top performers are able to prepare and negotiate price offers/contracts in collaboration with senior management strategically.
Bachelor’s degree required
5 years Medical Device Clinical Sales Experience (preferably implantable Cardiovascular Surgical Device Sales of more than 3 years)
Shown success launching and selling new technology
Operating room sales experience
Consistent track record of successful territory and account management
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
High level of time management
Negotiation and selling skills
Excellent presentation skills
Established relationships with target customers
Productive use of promotional materials
