    Position:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for generating new revenue & developing strategic partnerships using a consultative approach within an assigned vertical. Change Healthcare Data Solutions enables & licenses data & analytics to solve healthcare’s most pressing challenges.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Achieve bookings growth targets.

  • Build & maintain relationships with key constituents in assigned vertical.

  • Employ an effective consultative approach to meeting customer objectives. Use solid listening & critical thinking to design winning solutions for customers.

  • Effectively capture customer needs in a formal use case definition. Develop proposals that meet customer & Change Healthcare needs.

  • Develop & close new business – identify & qualify opportunities, proactively manage the selling process, negotiate & close deals.

  • Direct, tailor & conduct sales presentations that reflect our understanding needs of the prospect and how Change Healthcare can help clients reach their goals. Effectively communicate the Change Healthcare Data Solutions value proposition.

  • Establish realistic internal & external expectations & forecasts

    Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ of experience with consultative selling of complex healthcare data & analytics (claims knowledge strongly preferred). Proven track record in developing new relationships & cross-selling current accounts

  • Pre-existing relationships & knowledge of key constituents in assigned vertical (potential licensees & partners).

  • Extensive knowledge of data/analytics in the healthcare ecosystem, and its power to bend the cost curve and improve health outcomes.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – good listener, critical thinking, effective communicator, creative, intellectual curiosity, self-starter& team player. Problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset that can effectively manage multiple projects across internal & external stakeholders

  • Ambitious, yet patient and principled. Committed to excellence, and delivering results in an honest, purposeful way

  • Organized/disciplined – can plan work and work a plan. Proven self-starter, can manage multiple, competing priorities, able to work and learn independently.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools to develop effective prospect communications & materials.

    Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • General office demands

    Travel:

  • This position requires 25-50% overnight, national travel to client meetings, conferences and training sessions.

  • Employees in roles that require travel will need to be able to qualify for a company credit card or be able to use their own personal credit card for travel expenses and submit for reimbursement.

    New York and New Jersey Residents Only : The salary range for New York City, NY and Westchester County, NY is $110,975 - $214,920. The salary range for Ithaca, NY is $96,500 - $179,100. The salary range for Jersey City, NJ is $115,800 - $214,920. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Change Healthcare offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
